The Romazzino is a lovely hideaway in Porto Cervo's famous blue n green landscape. However, as a hideaway should be, quite remote and also isolated. In order to avoid boredom, a rental car s highly recommended! The island and its wonderful beaches are worth to be explored. The Romazzino 's restaurants are fine dining using fresh and high quality ingredients, simply over the top. Perfect place f weddings and romance weekends. Guest age was rather high when I visited, certainly due to the higher price level. I somehow missed younger couples...

This was our second stop on a three city European vacation and it was the perfect place to unwind and relax. The view from the room was amazing and the hotel grounds are impeccable. The room was comfortable with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast from the buffet each morning offered plenty of options. The prices for food are steep so we went off hotel property for a few meals. It was also surprising that there are no irons in the room, you can send out clothes to have them pressed.
I loved the workout room that was outdoors by the pool, a workout with a view!
We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend especially for a special occasion.

This hotel stands in one of the most beautiful areas of Costa Esmeralda and has a very relaxing private beach and beautiful gardens but loses big in having the most crazy prices I have ever seen ie 180£ for a buffet lunch!! 30£ for a cocktail and 34£ for the most disgusting burger you have ever had! Service is good but not equivalent to the luxury of the hotel, it is hopeless to order anything on the beach! Rooms are good.Reception desk and breakfast crew were amazing and save a bit the scene. It could be a paradise but the devil is in the details! Pity!

This resort hotel and the Pitrizzia are ravishingly beautiful. The Romazzino has been upgraded with another pool, new entry and more luxe accomodations over last 10 years. It is a fantastic experience here. I love walking at night under the stars along the back beach roads and among the 10-100M EURO villas.

Huge yachts criss cross the sea off the hotel and makes for exciting time at beach to watch cigarette boat races, and other super yachts.

Note: You can rent a private 15 meter boat and captain to go see the Madalena Islands for around 3000 EUR for the day. Ask hotel for a lunch to bring along.

Sometime in mid-August is the summer gala, a very special night with extensive buffets, ice sculptures, caviars, fancy desserts around the barbeque area and lots of singing, music and dancing.

Also, trip to Porto Cervo is around 10 minutes by car. I recommend you rent a car in Olbia, as you are quite remote here, Sardinia is a wild and empty island in most places, outdoor disco in Forto Capalini is 20 minutes away, and many amazing natural sites to see on island, including in Palau and on Madalena Islands accessible by car ferry from Palau.

If you must taxi, bring a lot of cash, 1000 EUR for a week.

Room Tip: all are good

To start, Hotel Romazzino has a beautiful property. The restaurants and lobby buildings have amazing views of the ocean. Access to the beach was great.

We booked a standard room. Given the reputation as a luxury hotel, I was not too impressed- was very basic, dark, and actually had somewhat of a light mold smell. The hotel was completely booked, so we were unable to switch rooms. We also booked the hotel room as 1 adult by mistake- we had a charge of approximately 100 US dollars per night for an extra person. This was a mistake on our end- but just something for other guests to be aware of.

The bigger issue is that everything else on this property is a complete rip off. As other reviewers mentioned, there's a 200 euro per person (cut to 100 per euro per person on our stay-- still not a great deal) for a lunch buffet with italian antipasti. A la carte options ranged from 30 to 50 euros for food that was OK, but not great. My husband ordered a double espresso after lunch- this was 18 euros.

The restaurant servers were very friendly, but I feel like the quality of the food did not demand these prices. We are happy to pay up for an amazing experience- and this just felt like we were being nickel and dimed. I don't think we'll come back.
