This fish restaurant is a little bit further away from the very touristic area of Porto Santo Stefano so you can enjoy a cosy terrace overlooking the sea. Service was attentive and food was local , authentic and good.

We had a very good fish meal on a lovely terrace looking out onto the sea. The restaurant is located in a quiet street adjacent to the port; it has a romantic atmosphere to it. The menu on offer includes some very original fish dishes. Acceptable price. Service up to standards.

We expected a lot from this beautiful restaurant with amazing sea view and beautiful tables.
We received a crostini on the house which was fantastic. We ordered a bottle of wine wich was delicious. But then we ordered steak a fiorentina. This is meat frilled with olive oil and herbs. It went completely wrong.
Although there were only two tables that needed to be served, the meat arrived cold. On top of that it took more than five minutes for the patatoes to arrive so the meat was totally cold. When we told the waitress she took back the steak, the kitchen put it back on the grill. It came back hot but totally dry. The meat was not prepared according to the classic recipe : not enough olive oil and no herbs at all. By the time the meat came back, the patatoes were cold. The patatoes were fried like chips and the lack of oil on the meat was compensated by the patatoes that were swimming in oil.
We paid 70 euro for a very small piece of dry meat. We asked for the bill and left.
Next to that, there is a deadly atmosphere. The waitress is affraid to talk and a little bit of music could at least create some kind of atmosphere. The restaurant has no soul and a chef who cannot grill a steak if he needs to cook for two tables, is somebody that has chosen the wrong profession. We can all make a mistake but then start all over again. Take a another piece meat rather then serving warmed up food. Never more!

Don't come here if you like meat. There is virtually no meat on the menu; however the selection of fresh fish is, as could be expected, very good. We hade primi of which the pasta carbonara was the sharper dish. The spigola - sea bass - was a very good main dish that I would recommend to patrons of Ristorante Orlando.

Great local fish in a casual atmosphere and not expensive. Of all the local restaurants, da Orlando seemed to be making more effort and this showed in the quality of the food and service. Everyone's gets the same fish from the fishermen and markets, but Orlando seems to serve it up with more panache and very little more cost. Good wine list too with unusual wines from the region.
