We went there first in May stayed at the hotel and felt in love with the whole place. Excellent cuisine done carefully and sometimes with unexpected combinations like the “rombo with tartufo”. Service is great, very friendly and professional. The sommelier has a very profound knowledge not only of Tuscan wines but also from other areas of Italy. We will be back!

We had an excellent lunch here, and we loved the setting so much, that we'll be back for a stay at the hotel next week.
Lunch was light, an octopus, tomato, and olive salad for me, and a smoked-salmon and white cheese salad for my wife. Add to that a Viognier, and the beachside table - a winner.
Defo, don't miss.

We ate at Con Gusto twice while staying at the Hotel Villa Domizia recently. We actually stayed at the hotel because of the super reviews on the food. Our first night was not a winner but decided to try it again.

While we found the hotel to be excellent, cannot say the same for Con Gusto. While the service and wine are very good, we experienced the food as mediocre, with the exception of the scallop starter which four of us all agreed was good (but not great). The hallmark king prawn main was best described as minimal, as there could not have been close to 100 grams of prawn, all of which were very small and surely not “king” as we are accustomed to in North America, The amberjack main was not overcooked as it too often is but like much of the rest of the fish our group had it lacked seasoning and, therefore, taste.

Over two nights we sampled 6 deserts, none of them stood out for any of the four of us. Finally, despite the good service and attractive room, the food is not wonderful and is not inexpensive so value for money paradigm is poor in my opinion plus the mosquitoes were most unpleasant to boot.

We were warmly welcomed and given a free room upgrade when we arrived to stay the one night. We also booked a table at the on sight restaurant.
At dinner we were welcomed by the professional maitre d`and knew straight away we were in for a unique meal experience. We were seated immediately and the service got better and better each minute we were there. We put our self in the hands of an experienced sommelier for the wine and we had a taster menu which was excellent. It was wow from beginning to the end. One of the best meal experiences we have ever had.

Food quality ok at best. Supercilious waiters and waitresses try to compensate but their plastic falseness is oh so evident! No veggie options other than local cheeses and salty salad. Poor; very poor. Sea bass small, undercooked and tasteless. Suggest you avoid. Many better places in Porto Santo Stefano and nearby - try La Vivienda - so much better!!!
