I stayed at Hotel Fabricia for the second time, once before in 2012. It continues to be a lovely place with all the amenities necessary and a wonderful welcoming staff. The structure is clearly dated (and heard of others who were not so fortunate to have air conditioning in their rooms) but in general it was kept clean and restructured where necessary. During the summer it is a charming environment filled (mainly seniors). Judging from the half board, dinner was well presented and remains to be of good quality with a huge variety. There was free wifi but didn't work well for activities that need a strong connection such as skype (in the rooms the connection is worst than in the common areas). However, considering the relatively low cost during August it was recommendable.

Room Tip: ask for a room with air conditioning and a balcony looking out to the garden or sea

We stayed for a week in this hotel. Great location, nice view from the window and balcony, clean and comfortable room. We enjoyed the large pool and the surrounding relaxation area. Tennis courts were ok and even during peak season the pool area was very quiet. During our stay, the beach was dirty from sea grass so the only access to the water was through the convenient pier, otherwise the beach would be perfect.

We stayed 7 nights at Fabricia a few weeks ago having stayed there 3 years previously: very little had changed. We got the same room we had had before - Room 309 - because we wanted to experience again the stunning view across the bay that you get from the top floor rooms. The room itself wa very clean but is on the small side and the bathroom would benefit from a bit of TLC but the large and very private terrace and that view more than make up. There is no lift so the stairs could be a struggle at the end of a long day and with cases - but that view made up for it. And did we mention the terrace and the view?

The garden and pool area are fantastic. We love the sea-water pool and the surrounding area with pool bar open for drinks and food. The beach itself is admittedly a bit shabby, but the little terrace above the beach is really great.

The restaurant staff are lovely. One of us is a vegetarian and the other one is a very picky carnivore but we ate in the hotel every evening and the head waiter (Maurizio?) and his staff looked after us really well. The antipasto buffet is excellent and you could make a meal from that alone. The 'nibbles' you get with a pre-dinner drink are almost enough to fill you up anyway!

The reception staff were also great. Thanks especially to Aldo for his pre-visit email help and his courtesy when we were there.

All in all we loved the Fabricia and Elba. We may well be back for a third time.

Room Tip: Get the top floor 'attic' rooms for the view and the terrace and put up with the stairs.

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 Children ( 5 & 2 years old ), the rooms are not comfortable , old furnished not renovated with smelly bathroom and very tight room in general .
The main restaurant food is excellent and we all loved it , many variety and good quality.
The swimming pool although it is salty water but it is good and decent , the beach is tiny , not a sandy one where the kids can play but the view is nice .
The groove is big and nice to walk around.
They have a free bicycle where you can have and roam around the island . Free Internet available only in the lobby
The staff in General are helpful .
Walking distance to a diving center.
No other entertainment are there like a kids play ground or a night club or any activity ....etc

We stayed five days in this hotel. Great location, nice view from the window and balcony, clean and comfortable room. We enjoyed the large pool and the surrounding relaxation area. During our stay, the beach was dirty from sea grass so the only access to the water was through the convenient pier, otherwise the beach would be perfect. I would like to recommend the hotel to modify breakfast choices every day, after two days it becomes very boring.
