“Ten Days in Eden, relaxation and fun here!”
Reviewed 8 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

The location was perfect. Everything was as advertised. Very spacious with a view of the Mediterranean and shoppers below. We spent our time on the porch area when home. A very good home base for ferry transportation to other sites on the Amalfi Coast.

Lara was an excellent hostess and provided us many suggestions on restaurants and places to visit. She arranged for drivers and other services when needed.
The area was beautiful and the people very friendly.
One word of caution. There are many steep climbs and steps. Not recommended for the elderly or informed.
We swam in the Mediterranean and enjoyed the beach

A trip to Pompei was a highlight. We also visited Amalfi, Ravella, Capri, Sorrento, and Positano itself.
We would highly recommend it. ".............................................................The food and wine were fabricated lous

“Perfect spot to enjoy Positano”
Reviewed 4 August 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Casa Lara is in the center of Positano - on a square close to the beach. There were five of us sharing the property and we had plenty of room. Lovely views, close to all the restaurants, and shops. We had a driver from Rome and he dropped us off on the road - we walked down the main pedestrian passage and were met by the porters bringing our luggage. Lara provided a good orientation to the town and was available for questions. It is the perfect spot if you do not wish to negotiate the numerous steps it takes to get to many of other B&B's and hotels.

“Truly Positano”
Reviewed 12 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

My wife and I have been visiting Positano for many years and have mainly stayed at Le Agavi, which is an excellent hotel. However for this family holiday we stayed at Casa Lara which is a delightful apartment very very close to the beach, many affordable restaurants & passenger ferry services to Amalfi and Sorrento. The facilities have the warmth of a typical Italian home. Casa Lara is situated on the second floor at the end of a small square. The large tranquil balcony / dining area gives you a view of the square below and yet is shielded from vie by the beautiful Bougainvillea, Rose & Hibiscus plants. Lara ( the owner ) has a real gem here.

“Casa Lara - a pearl in Positano”

Having stayed in other holiday rentals in Positano where a climb of several hundred steps was required after a day on the beach or dinner, I welcomed Casa Lara's location, which is only a short walk from the sea, the harbour, shops, cafes and restaurants. Unlike many holiday apartments I have stayed in that feel impersonal and echo like hollow shells, Casa Lara has a homely and soothing atmosphere. The decor is pleasing and the apartment is thoughtfully supplied to ensure the visitor is comfortable, well entertained and well fed.. Should visitors wish to deny themselves the chance to sample the wonderful Italian food on the menus of nearby restaurants, and try out the colourful cornucopia of produce on sale in the local shops, the kitchen is well supplied.. The terrace which is sunny in the morning and an oasis of cool provides a delightful venue for al fresco meals and an ideal venue fro relaxing with a cup of coffee or glass of wine.

“Excellent rooms, excellent views and an excellent host”
Reviewed 26 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

I would recommend this place as the best place to stay in Positano. Having stayed at several hotels previously in the area, I can say Casa Lara is the best and if I go back to Positano, I will be staying here again.
It is located very close to the beach, seafront restaurants and to the banquina (about a minute's walk to all of them) making it very easy for daily trips to other resorts like Sorrento, Amalfi, etc.
Lara was the perfect host always willing to help providing excellent advice on the local area like where to eat, what to visit and things to do.
The apartment itself is in perfect condition and kept very clean and tidy. The bedrooms are all very spacious and there is a large living room that leads on to the balcony which has excellent views of the main square of Positano as well as the sea and the Galley Islands.
