This B&B was hands down the best part of our stay on the Amalfi Coast. Angelo provided excellent service throughout our stay. He carried bags up to the B&B and upgraded us to a private apartment for our honeymoon. He also provided advice regarding restaurants, local transportation, etc. The food was also amazing. We received a private breakfast each morning, which consisted of fresh fruit from their private garden, delicious pastries, and excellent cappuccinos. We also had an amazing homemade dinner by Momma Rosa herself one night. The dinner included fresh ingredients from their garden and a bottle of homemade wine. The views were absolutely stunning. We loved waking up each morning to watch a panoramic sunrise over the coastline from our private balcony. The B&B also has great hiking opportunities. The start of the Path of the Gods trail and an interesting path into Positano are both nearby. Finally, we loved the non-touristy vibe of the area around the B&B. Everything about our stay was perfect. We can't to return for another stay in paradise.

We had such a great stay at Mamma Rosa! We loved the amazing views, fresh breakfast every morning, and of course the A+ hospitality. Also loved that we "earned" all of the delicious meals at restaurants in Positano / Montepertuso by walking up and down the steps. :)

We stayed at this B&B for two nights in May.

Pros:
Only affordable place for this cost range in the area
Free parking
Amazing views
Nicest owners / family - available for questions
Great breakfast (can be delivered to your room!)
At a bus stop for region

Cons:
Not in town (easiest to take a bus)
If not in shape, a lot of stairs up to B&B

We stayed there in May 2017. This place was a steal for the price. Due to off-season and the nicest owners, they upgraded us to the Honeymoon suite for our anniversary. I could not believe the welcome nor the hand-delivered breakfast each morning. The family's availability to answer questions and help you to plan your days is unmatched.

The B&B is part of a sweet, sleepy village right above Postiano. This allows you to get out of the tourist area. If you are inclined, this is the perfect spot to start a few different Amalfi Coast hikes.

The room we were lucky enough to stay in was a one bedroom suite with a full kitchen, full bath area and a comfy bed. The kitchen was fully stocked and if you are inclined you could cook a full meal if you visited the grocery in town. The room had breath taking views and an outdoor patio area. It was a perfect stay for many days.

The one watch-out is the steep staircase leading up to the B&B. However, the owners will come down to meet you and will help you carry your luggage. Prepare yourself for the 1/4 mile straight up steep staircase.

If you have the time to ride the bus to the B&B or your own car, this is a great alternative to the pricey Amalfi Coast hotels! I would recommend this real deal for a great Italian B&B with owners who aim to please.

We simply loved our stay at Mamma Rosa. We we're a bit worried at the beginning as we didn't know what to expect regarding the 200 steps to get to the B&B, as well as how far from Positano it would really be. Yes, there are 200 steps to get to Mamma Rosa, but every single one of them is worth it. The B&B offers privacy, comfort and stunning views of the coast. Angelo and Melania made us feel like home. The breakfast was so beautifully presented, fresh anstasty. We also booked a dinner cooked by Mamma Rosa herself! It was delicious and I highly recommend anyone who stays there to book it as well - and please ask for their beautiful wine made with the grapes that grow in their own garden. Mamma Rosa is located at Montepertuso, a small village going up the mountain, just over Positano. The public transpost to get to Positano is very handy and an adventure itself. Staying at Montepertuso is definitely a much smarter option as it offers amazing views all the way to Positano, as well as a quieter and more contemplative perspective of Positano. Honestly, I could write pages about our experience at Mamma Rosa, but I don't wanna tire the readers of this review. So go ahead and book your stay at Mamma Rosa so that you can live that amazing experience yourselves! I could not recommend this place more. I love it and I'll surely be back!

We were oh so very fortunate to come back to this little piece of heaven for a second time in a couple of years. We traveled with another couple this time who loved it as much as we did! We stayed for 4 wonderful nights from October 8 - 12th. Angelo and his family are warm, welcoming and everything you could possibly want/need/imagine in hosts! Angelo has a wealth of information on his area, recommendations, schedules, whatever you need is no trouble. His English is excellent and he's extremely responsive to emails/texts. We decided this time to enjoy a home-made mea/dinnerl cooked for us on our last night as we were exhausted (after Path of Gods! a must do!) and needed to be up early. Dinner was wonderful and overlooking the views, out of that window you couldn't possibly have a care in the world. I would recommend this place in a heart beat. Especially if you like to be out of the crowds. Perched up top (yes those stairs are still there!) the views are incredible and very peaceful. It's situated within walking distance of 3 very good restaurants, the bus into town(s) right at the bottom of the stairs, and a small grocery store. You can be to the heart of Positano in 20 minutes easily by bus. We walked down (a kajillion steps) as well which was lovely. What else could you possibly need? If you are in this area, do yourselves a favour and enjoy this place. It's like no other!!

Room Tip: It's tiny, only 3 rooms. We had the apartment for the second time and it's fabulous.
