The restaurant here is just amazing! We had house made pasta with sea food. To say it was great is insufficient for how good this meal was. Our waitress was very friendly and spoke English quite well. The little location is great. We had a table overlooking the sea.

This was a lovely family-run hotel. Each room has a porch with table/chairs and a beautiful view of the coastline. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and is quite large, by Italian standards (coffee, juice, yogurt, breads with jams, croissants, fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, cereal).

We ate dinner at the restaurant twice, and the food was excellent - good pasta, phenomenal fish, and tasty lemon cake.

The hosts work very hard to run this hotel / restaurant, and they were always very attentive to our needs. The room was simple, clean, and simply decorated - perfect for our needs.

Beware that it is a challenge to get Praiano without your own car - requires a series of ferries and buses. Buses are unpredictable and often only run once an hour (and are sometimes full). Despite these challenges, I would stay here again.

Family run hotel, on the main road, has a lovely resto by the sea that serves great fresh Italian food and a great view of the sea specially during sunsets.. not a fancy hotel but the staff make u feel at home, very helpful and friendly and speak english.. they make u feel as one of the family... rooms r cozy not very spacious but get cleaned every day, the hotel has free wifi, a free parking as well in case ur renting a car because its difficult to find parkings in the area...
Many attractions, restos, and beaches are at a walking distance..
Highly recommended, couldn't find a better place for my vacation..

Thank you Pasquale for offering such attentive service during our stay at Open Gate. Nothing was a problem and we loved the clean, comfortable room with spectacular views along the Amalfi Coast. We also enjoyed the outside restaurant tables overlooking the sea, with classic jazz and Italian music drifting across the road from the villa.

Delightful experience. First time to the magnificent Amalfi Coast - walking the streets as sun slowly set, popped in to be greeted so friendly by Stefania. Menu was nice and meals had that home cooked feel. Simple and delicious. Went for the signature home made seafood pasta. The "stereo" played some relaxing tunes as in the background an elderly fella prepared some home made desserts. Pleasant and good value and a short easy walk back to the Hotel!
