This was our fifth visit, but the first time since the transition from Sasso to Avino. Yes, there have been some (minor) changes and yes, this is an expensive hotel and the rooms are somewhat small, but the staff, the views, the food and the ambiance make this a wonderful indulgence. On this occasion we celebrated a significant birthday, but I hope we don't have to wait too long for our next visit !

We have just spent the most amazing week in the Palazzo Avino In Ravello, we have visited Italy many times and wanted to return there to get married, we choose Ravello after good reviews from family and friends, we decided on Palazzo Avino after it was recommended by our wedding planner. We could not have chosen a more perfect hotel, there were 8 of us in our party, rising to 22 for the day of our wedding, our every need was catered for from start to finish, we were a mixed group in aged, (3 up to 74) and every member of staff treated all of our guests like royalty. The food is amazing, the breakfast plentiful, impeccable service, we dined in all of the restaurants on our stay, our wedding dinner was in Rosalinis restaurant over looking the spectacular view of the coast line, the service was second to none, the food & wine could not be faulted, we had the wedding dinner of our dreams. Over all we would recommend Palazzo Avino for any occasion, we have stayed in many 5 star hotels all over the world and this has to be at the top. We have already booked to return next year for our 1st wedding anniversary.

Room tip: Sea view room has amazing views, wardrobe very small, other rooms had bigger wardrobes more floorspace than sea view room we had.

Can't say enough good things about the service, staff, food and atmosphere of the Palazzo Avino.
Our only regret is that we did not book more time there during our trip to Italy.
We stayed in a suite which was worth the splurge as it had breathtaking views and all the amenities one could wish for.
Having recently taken a trip to Sandals Barbados which advertises itself as a 5 star there was no comparison.
The luxury of the Avino accomodations and attentiveness of the staff not to mention the creativity of the Chef truly made this a memorable experience.

Room tip: Choose one of the suites ...the Infinito was exceptional

Beautiful hotel and fantastic views but very overpriced. Food was good but the dining staff like to hover while you eat. Also, the website doesn't mention a 10% surcharge on top of the nightly rate. The hotel is very close to other restaurants which was nice since we felt the meals were too expensive based on the overall dining experience.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to write a feedback about your experience at Palazzo Avino.
We are very sorry to hear that you do not “enjoy” your stay in full.
Regarding the 10% it is the VAT, and, when you book on our web site, it is calculate on the final price.
We take into high consideration your comment to improve our service.
Waiting to welcoming you back in the near future

Perched on Ravello hilltops high above the hustle and bustle of Amalfi lies the Palazzo Avino an oasis of peace and tranquillity with beautiful gardens and breath taking views of the coast.
My wife and I stayed at the Palazzo Avino for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it.
With just 44 rooms the hotel never feels too busy and is perfectly placed for a stay in Ravello with the square, local restaurants and shops all within walking distance.
Whilst the rooms aren't huge they afford all the mod-cons you need for a comfortable stay.
What sets the Palazzo Avino apart from the competition is the quality of the staff. Antonio on reception has local knowledge that is second to one and is always on hand to help you organise day trips and recommend restaurants. Be sure to try dinner at Trattoria Da Lorenzo in Scala and if you're feeling frivolous hire a boat and take a ride along the coast past Positano to the Conca Del Sogno for lunch.
The other brilliant thing about the hotel is the Clubhouse down by the sea which is a great touch. Book in the night before and reserve beds at the Clubhouse to spend the day relaxing by the sea.
The food at the hotel is good and the breakfast spread is comprehensive. We never ate at Rossellinis which is Michelin Starred but we did have a couple of meals at the Terrazza Belvedere which was very nice as a causal dinning option.
We'd happily recommend the Palazzo Avino to anyone looking to stay in Ravello and would love to return soon.
