“Nice Ski Resort ”

This Ski Resort is still a little secret. Not too crowded not too stylish, just pure. The downhill slopes are well prepared and offering all kinds of varieties, blue, red and black. The numbers of downhill you can do is limited due to the size of this Resort. No long line ups at the lifts. A daily pass is 43€ plus 5€ refund. Which gave me a kind of bitter taste in the mouth was the fact that if you taking the Gondel located on the left side of the Resort they are charging you twice if you what to take it from the top of mountain down to the Basis station. A simple ride for 7€ for a 5-7 minutes tour.

We were 2 adults and a child there on weekend, but it turned out as a disaster and huge lost of money.
Firstly, at the box office we were refused to buy a Family ticket .... because we didn't have our PASSPORTS to prove that we belong to same family..... Nonsense! Because it was not mentioned on the website that one should carry a passport while skiing. Instead of much cheaper Family tickets we had to buy full adult ticket even for our 12 years old daughter. Secondly, they sell tickets for lifting up to glacier even knowing that there are weather conditions impossible to support for a child. We went up, but it was such a horrible wind and wet snow coming into face that we immediately turned back down. But!!! No refund of our full-day-tickets was possible even if it was only 15 minutes ago since we bought them. We were trying to resell our tickets to the people who were just coming, but the man from the box office run out and shouted to us rudely. It doesn't seam that they care at all how their clients feel and whether they enjoy the place. The only thing they are interested is to get their maximum revenue from the skiing season.

I suppose that we had really bad luck when we were there. It was warm and sunny, but the lift couldn´t go up because it was too windy. The second day was ok and we enjoyed it. The third day was cold (-5C°) and around 2 pm it started to be windy too. And the next day was too windy again.
So, it is not so good to be in big hights. You may have snow guaranteed, but that does not matter if they can´t take you up :)

Not a lot happening here in the summer which is to be expected but a pleasant place to visit and walk by crystal clear water still running down from the Glacier that was close by. Interesting to see the Ski hotels being made ready for the winter!

Stayed at Blu Hotels over New Year with wife and 3 sons. Skiing was excellent, although strong winds closed cable car on one day. View from the top is incredible, and other skiing around the resort also good. Blu Hotels was probably worth the money, and we will stay there again.
