My husband, toddler, and I stayed in Cipresso for a week in May 2016. The property exceeded our expectations and we enthusiastically recommend it. We had all the necessary modern amenities in a charming, rustic home. The home was very clean and well taken care of, and we slept very well. Claudia was super-easy to work with, and made sure all of our questions were addressed quickly.
The property is pretty isolated and quiet, but very close to Spoleto. We took easy daytrips to Assisi, Norcia, Todi, Spello, Bevagna, Montefalco, etc. We loved the abundant animal life, both wild and on the farm. The two dogs were as sweet and gentle as could be and it was very fun collecting eggs from the chicken coop in the morning. And the views, olive trees as far as the eye can see!
We had to keep an eye on our toddler when we was outside as there were some rocky steps and other minor concerns. There was a bit of noise from the unit above, which someone who wants absolute quite should know about. Also, there is a short walk uphill to the parking area, which shouldn't be an issue for most, but if you have trouble walking, you should inquire further. None of these were issues for my little family - just things folks may want to know about.
Be sure to ask Claudia and her family for a tour of their fabulous estate, just across the valley.
All in all, great trip and I highly recommend the property!
