Excellent location to stay if you would like to visit Maggiore Lake, Lugano Lake and Como Lake.
The atmosphere in the hotel is very pleasant and pastoral and the staff is highly service oriented and very friendly.
Breakfast is very good and you can also order dinner, lasagna and pasta are very good.

what do you do when you plan to go around Maggiore and Como with 2 kids who request free wi-fi and a pool, and you're not willing to pay 200 Eur+ for a room with a lake view? well, this hotel might just be a very good option. we stayed here in an apartment for 8 nights in July, we had Maggiore and Como within reach (30 to 60 mins drive), and the city (Varese) was a real nice surprise - lots of gardens and nice villas and pallazzos and also some very good restaurants. the breakfast was good, with a large selection of sweets but also some cereals and fruit, the pool is nice although not always warm enough, and during evenings you can enjoy a glass of ramazzotti outside (careful with the mosquitoes, they are hungry :-)). Overall we had a very enjoyable stay, and i managed to visit everything i wanted, from Bergamo to Cannobio, Como, Bellagio and Borromeo Islands or Angera.

This hotel has all you need.Wi-Fi but fast for a hotel, the pool was like 40% with bugs and the food at breakfast was very good at dinner and lunch I recommend the lasagna and the pasta with tomato sauce and ham.At the pool I recommend eating a sandwich or some other snacks.
In conclusion, the hotel was very good.

It is not easy to find a hotel to accommodate approximately 20 students comfortably for 2 weeks, Yet Mr.Roger (The owner, who had recently bought this hotel) and his excellent team made sure that everybody was happy to their best ability. We had received spacious 1 bedroom rooms with big closet space, a safe, sizeable bathrooms and I personally had a nice view from the 3rd floor being on the left side of the hotel. Breakfast was served every morning from 7 AM until 10 AM and consisted of a combination of continental breakfast of pastries, bread and cereals and a variety of eggs, bacon, and cheese for those who prefer a savory meal. Dinner was served from 6 PM until 9 PM (although they changed it to 11 PM a few days before we left) and consisted of various pizza and pasta dishes which did not take more than 20 minutes to deliver. During our stay, some students (Including myself) had to work on their dissertation proposal and we had no problem completing it, the staff was not reluctant at all to serve us coffee even at the later times and the bar being closed, and as the internet could reach all areas of the hotel (We were moving around from room to lobby, the billiard area (floor -1) and outdoor area.) The lower ground floor consisted of a gym and sauna, billiard and foosball table, a meeting room, the location of the vending machine and an exit to the swimming pool. All staff members clearly showed a strong work ethic as they always did their best to assist in any situations and were very friendly, answered any questions we had, gave us appropriate directions and even taught us some basic Italian to help us move around the city. Before coming to Varese on this University business trip I had not known what to expect reading the other reviews but after meeting Mr.Roger and seeing the changes happening during our 2 weeks there shows me that this hotel is repairing itself from its past ownership mistakes and I would definitely say within the next year or two be considered the best hotel in Varese. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Varese especially for their first time because you won't forget it! :)

Room tip: Rooms on the right side (facing opposite side of entrance) have nice views. Corner suites have a little more room.

Avoid this hotel if you can as it is in the middle of nowhere. The rooms are nice but everything else is so small. If you must then stopover for the night but then get out. Their facilities for carrying luggage from the main gate till reception is poor and the dining area and lifts too are very weird. Reminds me of that hotel in the movie Shining so avoid if you can.
