Great location to explore the area like Sorrento, Ravello, Capri and Pompeii. Vico Equense is super nice. The Franco pizza definitely worth a visit.
*ve’s buffet breakfast not bad. Sunset views on the balcony. Hanging out by the pool (altho pool freezing at this time of year). Recent refurb is lovely. Smart, clean with new fixtures and fittings
-ve’s. Despite the recent refurb (top two floors is ongoing) they didn’t seem to fix the glaring issue of the paper-thin walls. We were relatively lucky with our neighbours but good luck if you’re next to noisy guests as a conversation would be possible between rooms. And the refurb as mentioned is ongoing with some disturbance.

Room tip: Sea views a must.

Ideally I’d rate this hotel as 3.5 out of 5. I don’t want this to come across as a negative review. So let’s start with some of the main positives, starting with the fact that this place is very clean. No issues there. The room my family had (202) was big enough for the four of us and the beds were comfortable. The problem is, I just didn’t sleep well.

You may think I’m wrong to criticise a hotel for something that is out of its control. But the dogs in the neighbouring area and their incessant barking from 5am was a massive pain. Like a dawn chorus from the Battersea Dogs Home I don’t know what the owners of the animals were thinking, or what might be triggering the barking, but it was there every morning and sometimes during the night.

As I’ve said, this is not the hotel’s fault. But it certainly impacted on my enjoyment of my time there.

Back to the good? The staff were excellent, the breakfast was decent enough (could have done with more coffee being available), I loved the shower in my room, and the view from the balcony was pleasant. It was too cold during my stay to use the pool, but it certainly looked good. Sadly the Beach Club was closed as it was off-season, but we walked down to have a look all the same. Please be aware that it’s certainly not an easy stroll to get to and from. It was a proper hike on the way back, especially with kids in tow.

Overall this is a good looking, well run hotel with lovely staff. But I can’t quite bring myself to give it four stars because of those blinkin’ dogs!

Room tip: Beginning of April was a bit too cold to use the pool.

My wife and I stayed for a four night stay at Hotel Mary. The hotel property is beautiful and views are amazing. Our room was big and comfortable and included a comfortable balcony. The front desk staff was very helpful with all our needs. The bar tender was very cool and a delight to talk to. He helped me find local places to eat and watch futbol. The restaurant staff was equally helpful and friendly! The breakfast was served buffet style and was plentiful and delicious. The food we purchased at the restaurant was reasonably priced and also delicious. The hotel is walking distance from main part of the town. That made it easy to navigate and explore. I would love to come back for a family vacation and stay here.

We stayed here on our trip around the whole coastline and it was one of our favourite places. The views from our room were great, the pool area was lovely and the beach area was a really great place to relax and swim in the sea. A great part of a really enjoyable trip.

Room tip: Take a sea view
