great location, lovely people(not the suffocating hospitality you find in uk but just the right quantity to make it difficult to leave), very clean rooms, lovely food. so many hiking options but you can also spend a very quite day on the premises.

A large, modern hotel, away from the highways and deep in the forest seemed very interesting and so it proved. We had a delightful three day stay and loved everything about the hotel.our room was large and spotless and the walk-in shower room was brilliant. Food good and nice friendly service.

We stayed in this beautiful place only for 2 night and I have to say it wasn't enough.
This place is so beautiful, second visit for us and again we felt very welcomed.
The room was very spacious and clean, good breakfast, excellent dinner and loads to do to keep you entertained (hiking, swimming in the hotel pool, relax in the SPA or the balcony and finally indulge yourself with peace and quiet).

Very large and clean rooms. We stayed in a suite that was incredibly large. I will warn that we were on the 4th floor and there is no elevator for this part of the hotel. We were on a 3 week trip from the U. S. And had a lot of luggage. This was a job going up 5 flights of stairs. So ask for a lower floor if you have luggage. The breakfast was wonderful and at dinner we had typical German food that was very good and the house salad was the best we had ever had in Germany. Many locals we know raved about there homemade cakes and we tried it also one night and it is amazing with their wonderful coffee. The hotel is uphill on a long and winding road similar to what you would think the Black Forest would look like. It is very secluded and the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in. It is high enough in the hills that it oftentimes snowed at the hotel but not in the town below. Micheal Bauer the innkeeper speaks very good English if your German skills are lacking like mine these days. He was so nice and always helpful. We had already booked another hotel for week 2 or I would have stayed there the entire time. Many hiking trails right out the front door. We didn't use the pool but it looked very nice.

What a great place. Beautiful location, so quiet and secluded. The room was amazing, we stayed in one of the junior suites which was massive, extremely clean, it also had a balcony which had a sunbed, the mountain sun feels great. The hotel also had a SPA area perfect to relax and due to its location there are some lovely woodland walks too. This is a family business and it definitely shows as everyone was very attentive, also did their best in speaking English with us which was very nice. I whish we had something similar in the UK, great value for money.
