We have just spent a very comfortable week lazing about in this lovely hotel. It is spacious and luxurious, and frequented by lots of slim tanned beautiful people.

The public spaces are vast and feel chic and minimal. Be careful to book a sea-facing room, and also be aware that only the suites have baths, all other rooms have only showers.

The gym/ fitness suite has short hours, closing at 20.00 ( 18.00 Sunday). This could be improved, I felt!

Buffet breakfast is extensive and of high standard. Dining area is huge and sea-facing and open-air. As with all large luxury hotels, can feel a little impersonal, but we didn’t mind.

Dear Hedonista,
Thank you for this detailed review of your recent stay with us.
We are lokking for a solution to give independance to our fitness from spa opening hours creating a seperate access. This is a complicated architectural modification that we hope to evolve in the future. We are sorry we could not give better satisfaction on this matter.
Should you feel like having a new great holiday in Corsica, do not hesitate to contact us.
All the best.

Really nice place. Right opposite the beach but with its own pool as well. Good food, comfortable rooms and quiet. Family friendly hotel and beach. Highly recommended. Restaurants next door if you don’t want to eat in.

Really helpful and nice staff. Beds very comfortable and 5 really got restaurants a short distance away. Great views and location. I just found it frustrating that it was so close to being excellent with some changes. (Nothing to do with the staff on site who are great, but more the Radisson change i imagine). Firstly some small refurb....old stained curtains in the room can be easily changed. Second, a mini bus service into ajacco. Most hotels do this and for a supplement of even 5 euros a person it would make money and with transport very limited in the area and taxis into the capital around 53 euros...it would make sense for all involved. Drinks were so expensive as was the breakfast, so we used the local spar which was very handy and cheap.

A bit of soundproofing too from the rooms above and the doors from linked rooms that arent in use as linked rooms would also be a good way forward.

Im not seeking to moan, just hopefully giving some helpful feedback to a hotel in a lovely setting, with great staff that isnt far off being great. With the above changes it can be....for now its still good.

Dear guest,
Thank you for this return. The details you mentioned are known and are being studied for future evolution. The minibus service, for example, was a project we had for this summer and it was postponed to prepare the grounds with the taxi companies. Corsican economy is a small world we do not desire to impact violently. Changes need to be made with great communication and concern.
The curtains are replaceable indeed. But it is a difficult task. Each one is tailored for a specific room and need a very strict inventory and replacement procedure. We are looking for a solution for next year.
Your remarks support our plan for improvement and we hope we will get the chance to show you the development of our great destination during future stays.
We are glad you also mentioned that our staff had make a good job contributing to successful holidays.
Best regards.

Stayed here for 7 nights with my husband and had a lovely time. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is ideally situated across from a lovely beach and within close proximity to 5 very good restaurants and a well stocked SPAR. The staff at the hotel were friendly and the spa facilities and treatments were wonderful. There were a fair amount of sunloungers around the pool but my one criticism is that there were not sufficient parasoles.

Dear Pinklady,
Thank you for this lovely commentary about your recent stay at Radisson Blu Ajaccio.
Your satisfaction is the core of our mission as innkeeper and we are happy to read we succeeded. The lack of sunshades is a concern we have for some time but the company that retails those equipments has closed and we are looking for replacement.
We hope we'll have the chance to welcome you again among us soon.
All the best.

We had 6 nights here and didn't know what to expect as we had not visited Corsica before. It was the most relaxing and enjoyable time, an unexpected highlight of our visit to Europe.

Taxi to the hotel was 60 euro and about 25 minute drive. Initially it seemed as though we were too far away from Ajaccio but really with the beach just across the road, !ovely restaurants close by, and a supermarket as well, we just got into relaxation mode and enjoyed the facilities of the area and the wonderful sunshine every day.

The hotel was welcoming, comfortable and had everything we needed. Our room had a sea view and balcony - we spent many hours sitting and looking out over Ajaccio Bay. The breakfast was buffet and had all the usual offerings. Whilst the hot breakfast offerings were limited, the other choices were plentiful and eating on the balcony overlooking the pool and beach was lovely.

The staff were helpful and mostly had enough English to make communication easy. There are a number of tours and excursions that can be organised by the staff directly from the hotel and we made friends with a lovely taxi driver, Claude, who helped us get around and collected us from our tours.

The beach is lovely, the water warm and clear and there is no crush of beachgoers at any time. Whilst we did not use the pool, it looked lovely and again was never overcrowded.

We were very sorry when our holiday ended and would definitely return to stay at the Radisson Blu. Taxi ride back to the airport with our driver Claude, was only 40 euro(20 euro cheaper than from airport to hotel) so it may be worth getting the hotel to organise a taxi to collect you at the airport.

Recommend: Chez Alain and Le Rivoli restaurants
SPAR supermarket for good wine, baguettes, cheese etc
Local taxis booked through the hotel
At least one massage in the hotel spa centre

Room Tip: This is a big hotel with many rooms over 3 floors. A sea view room on 1st or 2nd floor recommended
