Description: A Table! restaurant to the northwest of Paris in Levallois tells you everything you need to know with that one passionate, emphatic, enthusiastic exclamation mark. This sunny, smart restaurant dares to deck itself out in whites and aquas and russets and orange with big windows to let the sunshine pour in. The chic decor is a perfect setting for the classic French cuisine prepared by an innovative chef with experience of Michelin-starred kitchens. Fish is the focus here, with fruits de mer centre stage during the winter months in dishes like tartare of seabream and prawns with legume coriander chutney, and duo of scallops and shrimp with saffron rice and crustacean bisque. Let the covered terrace lure you on sunny days and the excellent brunch on Sundays.

I ate in this restaurant a couple of times not just because it was close to my hotel but also because the food is amazing.

This hidden treasure was just around the corner from the hotel where we were staying. We found it by accident, but when we entered, another group from our tour group had already found it. They told us later that the chef actually was outside explaining the menu. They have a great deal where your price is based on whether you get 2 dishes or 3 dishes. You can mix and match--appetizer, main dish, and/or dessert. My friend ordered an appetizer which was a poached egg on crouton with an absolutely delicious mushroom sauce and we both ordered a main dish of spinach ravioli with pancetta (I think) and ricotta with a very delicate sauce. For my 2nd dish, I had dessert of raspberry sorbet and vanilla gelato. Oh, don't order a martini. When I asked for one, the waitress asked me if I wanted red or white. That should have been a clue. I said "white", but when it came and I tasted it, it was nothing like the martinis that I'm used to. It was sweet and if there was any alcohol in it, I certainly didn't feel it. Found out the next day from our local tour guide that their version is using some sort of distillation of grapes. Hmmm.
