Not a lot to say other than our room was clean and fairly comfortable and we slept well. It was OK for a one night stay but would not be an ideal place to stay for a longer period.
It's about 5 minute walk to the beach and seafront. There are not many restaurants in this area. Although the Pizza restaurant fairly close by on the seafront was very good!

This is not an hotel - it's a few scruffy rooms above a Japanese Sushi restaurant. We arrived 25 minutes earlier than the check-in time and were basically told to push off and come back later. When we did return, they had the cheek to demand payment up front - before showing us our room. The room was dingy with no tea/coffee making facilities - and noisy! It was hard to get any sleep what with banging doors, squeaking bed springs from the adjacent room and loud voices from the restaurant ( using the term generously ) until late at night. Reception was not manned at any time that we saw - staff from the restaurant doubled up to cover it. (If there had been someone around to complain to when we walked out we would have asked for a refund). We were told by a local resident that the hotel had changed ownership recently which may be why some reviews on here are more sympathetic. Would we stay at Le Richelieu again? Not even for free.
Myself and my parter stayed here at the end of the season last summer. In my profession I travel quite a lot and have stayed in Sain Jean de Monts on occasion. I love the resort but I have to say this hotel is possibly one if the worst I have stayed in. The hospitality was close to non existent the decor out dated and the service sub standard. The bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom dirty and the dining room awful. Breakfast was disgusting and cold. On my complaint to the manager she fobbed me off saying I should have gotten up earlier. I RECOMMEND YOU NEVER STAY HERE
Stayed here on monday 23 june for 1 night only booked online & paid €65 with my card.When we arrived on my motorcycle we got the feeling the staff were looking down their noses at us.NOT BIKER FRIENDLY.Breakfast the next day was 1 croissant 2 bits of hard bread, jam or honey & tea each which we were charged €17.When we were leaving the hotel they took my card so i could get a receipt & charged me for the room again so i ended up paying €130 for the room plus €17 for terrible breakfast.I contacted RIP OFF RICHELIEU the next day when i realised what they had done they said to send my bank details & they would pay back the €65.THEY DID NOT !!
We had a lovely two night stay here. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the beautiful beach. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The lovely young owners are so helpful and friendly and food is amazing!
