Lovely small hotel tucked up a steep side street within 2 minutes of the beautiful sandy beach, and 10 minutes leisurely stroll to the restaurants and shops lining the sea front.
Very comfortable, tastefully decorated and modernised, clean and spacious.
Huge terrace overlooking the bay.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke some English.
Fortunately there is parking - don't recommend having a large car!

Room Tip: No 1. Amazing view and terrace.

The hotel is less than 10mns walk from the center of Bandol. 2mns from the beach.
The rooms are clean. Practically all have a balcony facing the sea.
Most rooms have been redone lately .
Ask for the big rooms (a bit more expensive): I believe 1&3.
Breakfast is served on the terrace.
Restaurant is average.

This is a family run hotel and they make you feel like family! The room was awesome. We stayed in room #1 and it was large, modern, and very comfortable. The terrace looks out over the Med with an unobstructed view. We brought a breakfast tray up to the room and enjoyed two wonderful mornings watching the boats in the bay. Everything was modern and clean and in good working order and the bed was comfortable. The wifi was very fast. We were traveling by car and the parking was free and very convenient. (Go up the hill behind the hotel and there are plenty of spaces) We spent a very enjoyable evening talking with the owner over cognacs in the bar. Would not hesitate to book here again and to recommend to friends.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with terrace facing the Med.

Booked on short notice on a tour with my convertible through the French Alpes and along the Côte D´Azur, my aim was to find good midrange room in the center of the village/city with a locked garage or parking area for my (valuable) car. The last was the hardest to evaluate on my daily search, therefore I highlight this point.
Les Gallets has no Garage, but own parking in a dead-end street, where your car is safe. The Hotel is old but well maintained. Room and bathroom are OK, the balcony is an absolute highlight with a view over the entire bay and over to the island "Iles des Embiez". After 3 minutes walk you are at a beautiful and clean beach. Only disadvantage of the perfect location of this hotel is the main road, which brings some noise.
The breakfast was very basic. Staff and the boss of this private led hotel was very friendly.
I spent only one night, but I can imagine that this would be a good location for a longer stay in the area.

We booked two nights at Les Galets, because it was and still is the #1 hotel in Bandol. We took the most expensive room, #1, which costs €168 (135 GBX, 200 US) at the height of the season. This room has recently been refurbished to a very high standard: nice shower room, separate WC, all brand new, excellent double glazed windows with very effective sound proofing, silent air conditioning (air sourced inverter) with remote control. The room has a vast terrasse with "veu panoramique", and we liked just sitting out there, reading our books, and watching the activity on the beach. Bed linen, bathtowels very good. Free WiFi was fast. Modern tv, wall mounted. The breakfast offer is the traditional fare you will find in thousands of two star hotels in France: baguette, lovely croisant, tea/coffee/chocolate, top quality jam/marmalade in tiny screw top jars, help yourself to plain yoghurt (put some fruit jam in and stir for a flavoured yoghurt), BabyBel cheese, cereals. We had dinner one evening and thought the whole experience magical, looking from the terrasse across the bay. The meal served came into the gourmet category, fresh produce, nice presentation, tasty. This is a 3 generations family run hotel in a historic building. Be aware that there are 45 steps from the street to reception, and then more to reach the upper floors. This hotel is not suitable for those of restricted mobility. There is a very fine wrought iron entry gate by the way! Free parking is a bonus. Service is very friendly and warm, but also professional. We

Room Tip: Looking at the negative reviews, I'd say avoid the economy rooms. The sea front rooms have such a memorable outlook why not pay that little bit extra?
