This should not be a 4 star hotel. During my stay of 3 days, I was not able to connect to the wifi once. When I approached the staff with this concern, they brushed it off completely instead of finding a solution. This is great for those trying to limit and restrict their wifi access for calm holiday. However for those who need the internet for other purposes (work!) this is something that needs to be considered.

On first impression, the hotel is very spacious and cozy. There are 2 pools and it's a very beautiful set up. For those who love horses, this is definitely the place; although the horse-ride was not 5/5 either. The food at the hotel is over priced and the service is poor. The sink in the room was not installed which meant the water leaked from the pipes and flooded the floor. The shower does not have a curtain, nor is there a drain on the floor. Again, at first impression the room is splendid. But after some time, one rapidly notices the quick fixes and lazy construction.

The Owner has no sense of welcome
Rooms, bar and restaurant are outdated
Restaurant.....is the worst of this bad experience
I went there 15 years ago......and it was so nice, unfortunately it has been almost no investment since then

Hotel consists of many little huts, well appointed, set in lovely grounds. There are stables and horses for those who wish to ride out. Or you can rent bicycles - which we did.
It is about 1 km of the title town, so we stayed in for dinner. Again a lovely setting, but a very restricted menu: 4-5 choices per course. Wines especially expensive. Serving staff not brilliant: slow service but maybe because the restaurant was full.
We first sat next to a table where they were listening to a football match on the phone: loud and intrusive. We asked to be moved, as staff obviously thought there was no point in asking those customers to show more consideration. There did not seem to be a lot of understanding for our desire to enjoy a quiet meal....
Breakfast maybe very nice but way too costly so we went to the local bakers.
Room was clean - though room service came lat in the day - generously sized and comfortable.
Free internet was very unreliable

Although it looks very basic from outside... it was a very pleasant surprise the inside of the small houses... Excellent bathroom and very clean. The breakfast is very good, but for lunch and diner you have to book in advance a table in the adjacent restaurant (not part of the hotel) or go to the town (1,8 km) where there ale plenty of small nice restaurants... and of course the main feature of the hotel is the stable with horses... Very pleasant and helpful personnel (as well as in the hotel)...

good hotel but I will give it 2 or 3 stars no more. the sauna place is good but no locker. the restaurant is expensive, the food is good but not enough for this price. the room was great but I have had to wash the air filter from the AC because too much dusty . no kettle in the room but champagne, beer and water. the staff of the hotel is super nice.
