Had a nice short stay at club Med, unfortunately the weather turned cold so we likely would’ve had a better time if that wasn’t the case.
Great beds, excellent views, very friendly staff and the hotel is immaculate. The pool area is great and the main lobby/entertainment room is fantastic.
The alcohol club Med offers for free, is pretty dismal, I’ve stayed at a club Med before, so I knew the deal. Maybe I’m older now and prefer a certain standard of alcohol, but this trip really made me realise how horrible this feature of club meds is, but there are options to upgrade.
Food was mixed, we had some great meals but overall we got sick of it after 3/4 days. There is a restaurant option but I found it near impossible to book on the app, and then you could go up at 5pm and speak to them but I just gave up, the hassle factor of booking things wore me out.
The entertainment was fun but as it only got going at 9 or 9:30, we found it quite late for our kids, so we only went on two evenings, but the atmosphere was fun and the GO’s are very enthusiastic and talented.
Eating at the buffet was a bit painful because of all the kids crying, it’s a very child friendly resort, which again we’ve used in the past to our advantage, when our kids were...Had a nice short stay at club Med, unfortunately the weather turned cold so we likely would’ve had a better time if that wasn’t the case.

Eating at the buffet was a bit painful because of all the kids crying, it’s a very child friendly resort, which again we’ve used in the past to our advantage, when our kids were smaller, but I guess we no longer have to, so that’s not a criticism, just an observation.
I can’t say I left feeling like we got full value, but that’s also possibly our kids reluctance to join in with the activities, I think they were happier and less self conscious to mix with the majority of French kids when they were younger, but now that they’re older, it seemed to be a lost battle.
One thing I find confusing about the club Med model is the number of GOs they have, I can’t say we had a single conversation with any, they’re all very polite and friendly, saying that some of the fault lay with us from not being fully engaged.
So, if you decide on club Med, be fully engaged in their model and activities, it requires effort from both sides. Our only experience before this trip was locations outside of France, so maybe that made a difference, we didn’t feel that integrated being non french, which again, we knew to expect, just felt it a little more here than other locations.
One more gripe was the parking is a bit painful, either pay EUR 74 or park in the free parking which is a short walk, not the end of the world, just like the alcohol, annoying.
Also, be sure to get your dates right and avoid changes, it’s painful to have to call up and cha get them and it costs you around Euro 50 per person, another club Med quirk.
