This Hotel has a nice "jugendstil" appearance: in fact it was built in 1902.
The main problem is that 3/4 of the rooms are not located in this building but dislocated in different buildings dispersed throughout the village, up to 500 m (yes, half kilometer) from the entrance; these additional building of course have nothing to do with "jugendstil".

The hotel web site does not specify this "little detail", so beware.

Our apartment was on the main road, quite noisy and with a blind bathroom of less than 4 square meters.

Definitely not worth the price.

Dear Carlo,

thank you very much for your comment. We are very sorry, that we could not completely meet your expectations.
We always explain to our guest exactly the location of the accommodation in our confirmation, so our guests know beforehand, where they will be staying. Out hotel has 68 rooms, suites and apartements. Every single room can be found in the internet with a 360 degree panoroma. There is also a map showing the connected buildings. In case you would consider visiting us again, we highly recommend to book directly with our front desk. So you will be 100% sure, you will get the room you really want.

Kindest regards,

I will try and keep this short :)
We got a two night stay in the Schwanennest of this wonderful hotel suite as a present for our wedding and it could not have been any better.
This hotel is beautiful, has a lot of character and the staff were amazing. We loved our suite a lot, especially the roof terrace where you could marvel on the stunning view of Traben Trarbach, which is the most beautiful town. The swimming pool area with all its relaxation rooms and little treats and add ins was also very nice and well kept, and amazing food which we got for our 5 course dinner was excellent. Both me and my husband are vegetarians, and they catered really well for us too :)

Thanks so much for a very relaxing stay, we will definitely be back again!

Visited the city for 3 days in June 2018 and stayed at this Hotel, wich is realy nothing special, apart from the sauna and indcoor swiming pool, wich are realy nice.
The city was all with construction works and a lot of streets were blocked, but even if they were not, it would have been the same disapointment because Trauben-Trarbach is nothing special compared with Cochim or Bernastell.
The room (Junior suite) was infeiror to the expected: - shower has no protection so the water runs easily to the floor; wardrobe needs repair or at least lubrication because the door makes a big, unpleasant noise to close and the service is also nothing special.
In short, the hotel prices - room and meals - are too high for the offer.

The Bellevue is a fantastic hotel. The staff is so friendly and the room is exactly like the pictures. The hotel is obviously very old but well maintained & everything is clean, varnished or painted. The restaurant is one of the best, pricey but top quality.

In these modern days internet is important & if you offer free wifi connection make sure it actually works. For a hotel of this quality the wifi offering is appalling. Also consider adding some level of network security, it costs nothing.

Apart from the network gripe fantastic experience.

Spent the Ascension Day weekend with my girlfriend at this Hotel seeking peace and tranquillity, and ultimately wanting to spend some quality birthday time at this retreat, and can safely say the hotel lives up to the expectations. My girlfriend and I were greeted by the most receptive and warm receptionist who accompanied us to our room. The room was very spacious and flowers and rose petals were laid out as expected. Much to my girlfriend's surprise.

We opted for the Romantic Weekend which included a four-course meal and alchholic beverages (wine) that accompanied each course. I was not aware at the time that the restaurant is accompanied with the Michelin accolade, otherwise, I would have considered whether to opt for that package as I am not a keen fan of Michelin type restaurants. But I have to say the price of the package did not exceed what one would expect to pay for a four-course meal in such a restaurant. The service at the evening meal was without flaw, and the breakfast was equally inviting.

Our room was very quiet, secluded and far from the elevator as requested. The Spa facility was more than adequate (although I can't imagine anyone wanting to use the Spa in the Mosel valley) and ultimately the hotel lives up to its expectation of being a Romantic Jugendstil Hotel.

Thank you very much for a romantic weekend. The hotel exceeded our expectations and we will certainly be returning again.
