We have just returned from an exceptionally wonderful holiday at this hotel. There was an incredible amount to do both in the hotel, 'Fundarena' (Sports centre ) and immediate vicinity. ( swimming, climbing, ice skating, horse riding, trampolining....mini golf, table tennis plus clubs for the kids ) We ran out of time! The hotel itself is steeped in friendliness and, although we appeared to be the only English family, we never experienced any communication difficulty. The children (9, 6, 3) delighted in the fun activities on offer. The evening disco was a highlight as was the 'sweetness hour'. The room was a perfect size for a family of five and cleaned very well daily by a lovely team of cleaners. The food was varied and delicious. Our favourite waiter was Ramano, who was fantastic with the children. There was a super friendly lady ( blond hair in a ponytail worked afternoons) on reception who booked us in and asked how we were getting on everyday. She remembered the children's names. A stone's throw from the hotel and you can get a cable car to the top of the mountain. The House of Nature is fabulous, (but they couldn't take a card payment in the shop) as is the Witchipfad Walk. A visit to the area has to include trips to the Badesparidise in Titisee and a ride on the Hassenhorn Rollercoaster-brilliant fun. There is so much you can do for free with the included Black Forest Card. Free beer and wine with meals a bonus. Fresh towels and robes on demand. We honestly can't believe how much fun we had staying in this hotel and can't understand why it isn't booked up years in advance. A gem of a family holiday. Brilliant attention to detail. If you are an active fun-loving family this holiday in Germany is great value for money. Thank you.

We were there with our two kids for skiing for the second time. While you do not have a snow and sun guarantee as you would have it in domains located 2000m and above, well you can find so many activities for the children at this hotel and the newly erected Fundorena, that they will return happy anyway. The Hochschwarzwald-card, offered during the duration of your stay, will give you even possibilities for (free) day trips.
Overall, very comfortable and clean rooms (we stayed at the hotel itself). With the all-inclusive option you have an included breakfast, lunch, coffe break and dinner. This year alcoholic beverages (beer and wine) were included. In addition to this you will have to pay extra for e.g. minigolf or beverages consumed at the bar. Compared to last year, the quality of the dishes proposed at the buffet had clearly improved.

After our arrival we really had to wait until 16:00 before we got our key to room. Room 609 with is just next to the car park. Not such a great view from both windows. Also the room appeared to be very dark. We moved to another room. This room appeared to be better although very warm especially during the night. You need to bring your own shampoo and soap. (I was refused shampoo by housekeeping)If I was not awake because of the room temperature it was the baby in the next room keeping me awake all week! All inclusive is not so all inclusive as in between mealtimes, the restaurant doors are closed. Or caution signs are setup. (Cheap trick) when going for a coffee and slice of cake I had to take the cake from a trolley as staff already were clearing the buffet at 16:00. When going for dinner it might be a struggle to find a table. I can understand that cocktails are not included in all inclusive, but this hotel is not all inclusive at all. Ridiculous that a drink at the bar is charged. We are due to check out tomorrow

Had a week trip with my son, all inclusive. At check in there was only a room to the parking lot available. However after pointing it out to the reception that we cannot accept a room to the parking lot, the hotel changed us two a "Ferienwohnung" much more spacious and suitable for a wheelchair. We found our self very comfortable in the room and the overall environment. In the restaurant we received a constant reservation so we had not to look around every meal for a different place. The restaurant staff was very attentive and nice to my son and me. Even so the Hotel is not 100% barrier free and sometimes it was a bit annoying getting around, especially with the slow elevators, the stay was nice and relaxing for us. If you look for a family oriented vacation , this is the right place to be. The food was various at some time to salty. I asked my self what happend to the cook, when he had a day of it was better and the salt and pepper at the table had a meaning. On three days, I could not eat at all because the salt issue. The waiters tried to help and the cook offered a menu meal, but I did not risk it since it was the same cook. Guys little less salt in the food and give the people a chance to do it themselves....
The entertainment and treatment of my son was excellent und this made me happy.
The last two days the internet did not work right, and since I had to work a little it was real difficult for me. The staff tried, but ran out of solutions, maybe the German Telekom let them in the turmoil.
Thank you for trying to make our stay positive and Djibril liked it. The rest is for you to get better with the fathers.

Room Tip: Mountain views are better, but when the sun comes up maybe warmer....
