I have been there to enjoy one night in this beautiful place.

The hotel is next to the ferry and very central in the city.

breakfast was very good and rich for both of us. the room was comfortable and the team very friendly

Absolutely wonderful views from front rooms. Well worth extra few euros. Run by really friendly couple who speak good English. Breakfast very enjoyable. Communal fridge good idea. Walking distance to all St goar/goarshausen attractions. Ferry right outside. Some noise from ferry/trains/road but not enough to bother anyone normal.

Pros:
Excellent location, lot of parking spaces. Friendly owner. Good price. Good breakfast. Interesting decoration. Good equipped room for the price. Great views from the front rooms.

Cons:
Some furniture and walls are a bit run down. Check in late and check out too early. Internet was not working properly on the above floors.

Room Tip: Better get the front river ones

The Location is Great, although the Train line Runs through the complete City. This causes quite some noice, especially the freigebt Trains.
For 55 Euro the Double room was Good, small, but very clean. The interior is a Bit outdated. Breakfast was very good and the Lady WHO Runs this inn, was very Helpful and Friendly.

This is perfect for a budget overnight stay. It was managed by a young woman who greeted us like we were old friends and served us breakfast in the morning. She really was fantastic.
The hotel itself has unusual decor - lots of old swords hanging on the walls and lace - quite old-fashioned but suits the region. I think there are 7 rooms over 2-3 floors, some face the river. We were in 7 and faced the back. The room was large with all we needed. The bed was huge and very comfy, and the shower was great with fresh towels. The only down-side was the train line being so close, but i expect you'll hear it from any Hotel in Sankt Goar as the town is only 2 streets wide... It didn't bother us much but we live near Heathrow!
Continental Breakfast was served with fresh eggs and coffee.
We had a car and were able to park opposite at the ferry crossing for free overnight and 3 hours the next day. The hotel was very close to the main street of cafes/restaurants.
We had a key for the back door so could come and go as we pleased, and there was even free wifi.

Room Tip: There's no lift so ask for the lower rooms if you don't want to climb much.
