We stayed here only for a night and enjoyed the comfort of a hotel with home stay style hospitality.

The hotel interiors are beautiful with wood work, paintings and decorative items. Our room was on the top floor i.e. 4th floor. There are no lifts so please specify or check when booking for the floor of your room (in case climbing stairs is a concern).

There is a back door that opens to a terrace where you can smoke and/or sit. They key to the back door is given by the owner. The front door closed at 7 pm and you have to use the back door to enter/exit post 7 pm.

The room was simple with a large window, plenty of light and some up with advertisements of vintage Chinese cigarettes! Double bed was soft and firm. Only towels and hand wash liquid is provided in the toilet. There are chairs, table and a cupboard in the room. There is a multi plug on the bedside table.

The owner is cordial and served a regular breakfast of cold cuts, cereals, bread, freshly brewed coffee or tea, orange juice, jams, cheese, butter, tomatoes and cucumbers, cake, honey, milk, rolls.

Worth a stay!

Great hotel. Convenient to train station and ferry or cruise piers. We had a room overlooking the Rhine River and could watch river traffic from there. The room was clean and quiet. The dining room was nice and breakfast was good. The only drawback was check-in, it doesn't open until 3:00 p.m. but we were able to get a leisurely meal and wait it out.

We stayed here the night of September 8th. The hotel is in an excellent location and the room and the view of the Rhine River were fantastic. The people running the hotel could not have been any nicer to us. There is not a elevator but the stairs were easy to do. Room very clean and neat.

Again, we left about 4 in the morning and they fixed us a snack and left in the refrigerator for us. that morning.

Price very good. Would highly recommend

Stayed here in a twin room with a friend for three nights while we attended the Night of the Prog X festival at the Loreley Freilichtbühne amphitheater. The room was basic, but comfortable and just a sink - we used the shared bathroom.

Everything was clean and we were given a key to come and go as we please. The view was onto the river Rhine and was right next to the ferry across the river - very practical for getting to the concerts, but could be noisy for some (I wore earplugs, so no issue).

Breakfast was really quite good, typical I would say with bread rolls, cheese and a nice selection of cured meats. There was also cereals, cake and juice available. The coffee, something which I'm very fussy about, was very drinkable.

There is a nice little terrace at the rear of the hotel and a fridge just inside the back door where you can take a beer whenever you want - you just write your room number down on the note-pad and they're not at all expensive.

Final mention must go to the proprietors, Max and Alessya, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming - they made us feel like family and nothing was too much bother for them.

Super little place which I shall be booking again int he future and can only recommend to others.

Room Tip: Request with a view on the Rhine and perhaps you'd prefer an en-suite bathroom/toilet? Rooms to the rear will be quiter though...

We stayed here as a couple for one night and it was one of the most enjoyable evenings of our trip to Germany. We got a room with a Rhine view and it's worth every cent - it's romantic, and there's pretty much no noise from the road or river, which surprised me. The room was quite big, clean and comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast is included in the room price. The only downside was that the internet didn't work very well - it only connected to Gmail and Facebook but no other websites, so don't expect to have internet access.
