Everything about the hotel is first rate. Room was very large, bed was comfortable, bathroom had all the amenities. True Switzerland pricing for wine, beer, etc in hotel and everywhere else so we bought bottles of wine & sandwiches in the Migros store and borrowed wine glasses from hotel then sat on balconies, decks and enjoyed great wine and fantastic views. Breakfast buffet in hotel offered European full deal. Dinners in hotel were fantastic...roast chicken and ham done in front of the fire in the dinning room, great deserts, Hot tub was only warm. Dinning room staff was really good.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be open to the valley with a deck so no bad rooms.

Rustic, family run hotel with wonderful valley views. Excellent restaurant, good buffet breakfasts. Nice bar and patio. Extremely responsive staff for any needs. Rooms have nice decks with lovely views.

On arrival we were impressed by the friendliness of the staff and delighted to find we had an upgrade to a room with a balcony with stunning views. The room was comfortable with good amenities though there were no facilities for making tea or coffee which would have been appreciated. The restaurant was excellent. The food was of high quality and the staff friendly and very helpful. Altogether an extremely pleasant two day interlude in a beautiful part of Switzerland.

Although the rooms are large and the view and the balcony is great, this hotel really needs a big refresh. I cannot beleive you can be a 4 starts hotel and still propose a hair dryer that's 20 years old and make your hair small so bad. The Spa is great and has been upgraded recently. The breakfast could be nice, but unfortunately, the poor waitress was on her own and most of the food was gone. She brought back some cheese 30 minutes after I noticed there was no more and I was lucky to get nice bread. My friend went 5 minutes later and she got only left overs and we ware there 30 minutes before the end of serving. It took me 20 minutes to get milk for my tee As a Swiss, I feel embarrassed that this type of hotel still exists in our country. The location is great but that's about it. The worse part was leaving the hotel. You need to leave the room at 11am. They allow you to come for a shower after the ski but they make you take it in the employee shower alough they have great showers in the spa that's located 10 meters away.I will not go there again. They only thing that's four stars is the price.

The hotel is located only few steps from the Villars-sur-Ollon train station, where you can get by the bus from Aigle, which provide the train connection to Geneva airport, it is also to place, from which you can get either by picturesque mountain train to Bretaye, where the ski slope start or take a bus to telecabine, which takes you to the mountain peak - the location cannot be better. The rooms have panoramatic view of the valley - again something hard to match. Rooms are generously spacious, but the furniture and fittings are several decades old - it all worked, but we felt like visiting our grandparents. The food did not meet even the 3* standard - I do not recommend having a lunch or dinner there. The young ladies at the reception look great and were very friendly and helpfull, but the other stuff was fairly arrogant.
