I have just returned from my second visit to this amazing restaurant and it will not be the last, the food is truly sublime, the wine list extensive and the service excellent. I'm planning my next visit already.

The lovely family took care of us as if we were their family members. The Micheline star restaurant kept its promise. Excellent food and wine experience. We will come back sooooon and bring our friends and family.

Very nicely decorated and restrucured old townhouse surrounded by a beautifull garden and the hills of Piemonte.
The food is excellent and the price of the dishes is very reasonable. Breakfast is perfect: everything is home made.
The 'lady of the house' is charming and offering a warm welcome.
The place doesn't feel like a hotel, but like the house of friends.

The whole family Musso are totally wonderful. The welcome is as though you were long-lost family friends. The situation is magical and ultra quiet. Perfect to return to after a busy day exploring the vineyards around Alba.
The restaurant is way above the usual one-star Michelin rating.
The wine list is one of the very best we've seen at this level and certainly wouldn't shame some of the three star restaurants we've been to ! Valentina's knowledge of what she is proposing is quite simply remarkable.
The food was intensely creative but anchored in the culinary traditions of Piedmont. Very much the kind of cooking we enjoy where every ingredient is recognizable and truly plays a meaningful role in the concept of the dish. We stayed two nights and had two wholly different tasting menus. Massimiliano also makes all the breads. They are all out-of-this-world. If his Maldon salt croissant was served in church there would be ques for communion !
The service is attentive and helpful but not invasive.
After dinner comes breakfast served by Alessandra, the chef's Mum. Everything is home made and for those who want it Alessandra serves the most exquisite Parma ham to go with the Piedmontese herb omelet before you finish with a lightly caramelized pannacotta made by the Granny which is quite simply the most perfect pannacotta ever. If you believe in food you should eat this on your knees.

I can't say enough superlatives about this hotel. It's quiet, elegant, and very understated in a small town in Piemonte (hint: the hotel is hard to find in Tigliote, small though it may be, at least for us--there is a very small sign on a wall near the top of Via Roma that is inconspicuous). The rooms were beautiful as were the grounds, including the clean and refreshing pool. And the attached Michelin one-star restaurant is in a class by itself. It was so convenient to spend 2 1/2 hours eating dinner on the terrace and have the hotel room so nearby.
