It's showing its age and is in need of a good freshen up. However they have started by replacing carpets and it does make a difference though they have some way to go. The room was tidy and mostly clean (though could be better), the bathroom had a constantly running tap that I could mange to turn off but when I did no one else in the family could turn it back on without my help, additionally it looked like maintenance had been doing working in the ceiling area and left greasy stains around the tiles where they met the roof in the shower.
I have stayed here previously (for a week) and had a room that fronted the Hume Highway, this time I had a room opposite this facing the pool, if you are going to stay and can't get a room facing the pool then unless you like traffic noise look elsewhere.
The service from the staff has been great whenever I've stayed here and the meals have always been enjoyable. The beds are very comfortable by motel standards though the pillows aren't.
The average rating is to do with the aging infrastructure, the below standard cleaning and the guests who arrive at the early hours of the morning and make a hell of a lot of noise (this is outside of the staffs control).More
