Easter Sunday, sea food chowder with little or no seafood and greasy duck with no glaze as described, wife had an over seasoned steak sandwich. Ordered ice cream for children, twice, took half an hour to arrive, when I tried to raise the fact we weren't happy work our meal the waitress taking our payment just said "Jesus"

We visited here to celebrate a family birthday and a family retitment. It was the first night of a new menu.

The quality and value of the food exceeded our expectations.

The menu provided a wide selection of starters, mains, deserts and drinks. There was a kids menu also even though our kids ate from the main menu as the prices were excellent.

Highly recommend The Coach House, excellent food, excellent service and excellent ambiance.

The restaurant is lovely, the menu offers very good value and the food doesn't disappoint. The only issue we keep having is the poor service but so long as you factor that in then all will be ok. It is normally a Sunday when we visit and possibly the staff are different during the week. Staff are friendly but young and inexperienced and would benefit greatly from proper training. Consistently find we have to look round for someone to take initial drinks order instead of being asked after being seated. Asking for the number of a wine on a menu also doesn't impress - feels like ordering from a Chinese! You shouldn't have to ask what specials are on offer as this generally given as a matter of course with menus. These may be just little changes but I do believe they could make a big difference. It won't put us off returning but having been disappointed by the service on most of our visits I thought I would post this review in the hope of some improvements.

We have dined here on numerous occasions and always had a great meal. The previous menu had a reasonable range of vegetarian dishes but looking at the new menu the vegetarian choices leave a lot to be desired, I mean to say a "quorn burger" isn't the most imaginative of dishes. Come on Coach house, there are plenty of appetising vegetarian options available - be a bit more adventurous!
The non veggie options and the choice of deserts are as good as ever but I feel this is an area you might want to give some consideration to.

We were staying at the hotel so went for a meal to The Coach House. The staff are very attentive and the menu is well designed, it has a great range of food to match all tastes including sharing starters which are just the right size to give you a taster without making you feel as if you have eaten too much. The fish main course such as the Moroccan cod with cows cows and chilli chips was delicious and we shared a cheesecake as desert which was silky smooth. It is more of a family place though and a was a bit noisy when we were in so not very romantic
