Although we were only here 4 weeks ago for our Son's Wedding we knew that it was the perfect, quiet, relaxing get away that the 2 of us wanted to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. We arrived on the afternoon of our Anniversary to be welcomed with a glass of Prosecco each. Our table was booked in the Restaurant for 7pm. There was even a 4 Ruby Rose table display on our table. Our Italian waiter was very attentive all through dinner, filling water and wine glasses as required. The meal was superb. When leaving the Restaurant we were presented with the table decoration. The next night we ate in the bar and, again the food was excellent.. Well done again Guyers. house.

We were part of a family group having lunch.
The service was good but the portions were very small. Not good for those with a hearty appetite.

We visited Guyers House for traditional afternoon tea. The afternoon tea consisted of a good choice of teas, 4 types of lovely sandwiches (cucumber, ham, cheese and smoked salmon), raisin and plain scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam, and 4 cakes of which one was a rather special bavarois. The drawing room was comfortable, the hotel ground was shown of beautifully due to a glorious sunny October day. The service was without exception extremely friendly.

Having a voucher for Guyer house part of the voucher was eating in the restaurant, and what a great meal we had, the menus had food we had not eaten before so it was a great time to try, the food on the plate looked inviting and tasted great, main course were of good size, leaving space for the yummy desserts, would I recommend this restaurant, 4 **** .
I would like to point out that Russell and the staff are to be congratulated on there service.
If you are in the area go to the restaurant or the bar, for food, highly recommend the Scotch egg, best I've ever tasted, well done chef... Also try the house wines, red and white good value for money.

Last minute thought for a quick lunch. An absolutely beautiful setting. Sitting outside on a warm September evening. Very accommodating hospitality lovely food. Steak and a burger and a dessert for my daughter. Couldn't fault it. Also am ideal venue for a wedding. Had the grand tour, would definitely recommend for food .
