We stayed at the Riverside Cottage which - true to its name - was located right on the bank of the River Lynher, with ducks and swans and the occasional kingfisher gliding past our window.
The cottage was simply furnished but incredibly clean and well-equipped.
Crylla Cottages is a small site with around 30 cottages and a real community feel. It makes a very pleasant change from more commercially-orientated family holiday sites in the area. Children are made very welcome and are well provided for. There is a small adventure playground, swingball on the lawn and a well-stocked supply of board games and toys to borrow. The grounds are well-maintained and the staff at Crylla clearly take pride in what they do and have a very genuine interest in making your stay happy and comfortable. They are available to give information about the local area and extend a very helpful and welcoming, though unobtrusive, service.
I would recommend Crylla Cottages to anyone, but if you are travelling with children and want somewhere where their needs are attended to without compromising on trying to have a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings yourself - this is pretty much perfect..More
