I had been to this resort in the first week of february on my honeymoon. For someone who is visiting maldives for the first time, this is an awesome place to be in.
Pros: Rooms are cheaper, Service is good. there are lots of options as far as restaurants concerned. The main restaurant bageecha dishes out nice food with 3-4 cuisines and some very nice desserts though it becomes monotonous. You can then try out the other options, the italian rest on main jetty is fantastic. Drinks are cheaper. Lots of other things to do like water sports, snorkelling, gym, badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis, snooker and a very nice relaxing spa.
Cons: Noisy. too many people around, high traffic of people, boats and air taxis flying above. (though it does not really disturb your privacy)
Water villas are although exotic, the disturbance you will have from ur neighbor is annoying.

Tips: Divide your stay between beach bunglow and Water bunglow.
Spa couple massage is a must do.
Carry a good set of snorkelling equipment of your own.
Carry your own set of badminton rackets and tennis rackets, shuttles.
Snorkelling trip is amazing. don't miss it.
There are some good corals at the front side of the resort besides main jetty, dont miss them.
Book a half board you will then have options for other restaurants.

Room Tip: Rooms besides the main restaurant are nice. though water villa have a private lagoon, the coral over there is destroyed so snorkelling is not worthy.

We booked this hotel for a short break to relax after a 2 week dive safari. The resort claims to be a 5 star resort and was sold to us by our travel agent on that basis. Sadly this was not the case. We have stayed at other five star resorts in the Maldives on previous trips and have always returned singing their praises. This is three star at the most

A surly speed boat crew collected us from the airport without a welcome, just get on the boat. where we proceeded to break some water speed record to get to the resort. Passengers and luggage tossing around, luckily no on was sea sick.

On arrival at the jetty no welcome, this seemed to set the scene for our stay. The check in process was extremely lengthy and not at all welcoming, When we were eventually allocated a room, we were given a map (the detail so small it was impossible to read) and the key with some basic instructions on where to go.

Our impression of the resort is that it is a two tiered resort which has hugely invested in its water villa facilities where we can only assume tthat is where the five star treatment is available. The rest of the resort is extremely tired and very 90's and looks like it needs a complete refurbishment,

We had a superior beach front bungalow which was about a 10 minute walk from the main facilities but in a good position for sun rise ,and we didnt mind the walk. The numbering system was very strange not logical. The bungalows had been renumbered with a sellotaped scrap of paper covering the original numbers, very tacky.

The inside of the bungalow was clean but like the resort needed a facelift, scuffed furniture, dingey bedlinen and worn towels. Minimum supply of toiletries provided just shampoo and bath foam. The bathroom and outside shower were the best feature as they looked reasonably new.

We thought we heard insect spraying but it was obviously not on our part of the island as one evening we got badly bitten from sitting on the sun loungers and verandah.

There is a choice of restaurants on the island but everyone seems to use the main dining area where you have an allocated table for your stay - very canteen. Food was okay and only evening we couldnt find something we fancied.

We made the best of it and enjoyed our relaxation time but dont be fooled this is not a five star resort and I certainly wouldnt recommend it it unless you are prepared to stay in an expensive water villa with three star surroundings.

Room Tip: The block numbers 360 - 340 have a good sun rise view and a nice beach front - 10 minute walk

This was my 2nd trip to the Maldives. The first time my husband and I stayed at Meeru Resort which was very nice.

I dont like to compare hotels, but if I must be honest Meeru has a natural beauty that Paradise Island doesnt have. I have to say that is doesnt matter where u stay in the Maldives, it is breathtaking and if it is your first visit, u will love Paradise Island.

The beach bungalows are better than the garden ones, cause the beach is at your doorstep. The food is plentiful, delicious and a huge variety. Staff are great especially when u give them a tip.

Snorkelling is very good off the jetty. Spa was very nice, my mother and I went for a Swedish one. All in all a good resort, but note that there are dead coral on the sand so u doesnt get that nice soft sand like u get at Meeru or I think the other islands as well. The best thing about the resort is the transfer from airport is only 25min away.

To some it all up, if its your first visit u love it, but if its your 2nd trip to the Maldives, head elsewhere.

Room Tip: Choose the beach bungalows at the northern side of the island.

We went to Paradise Resort and truly was an amazing experience. The resort is on Lankanfinolhu island. This the only resort on this island which makes it private. Staff was good. Rooms very clean and large bathrooms. We stayed at Superior Beach bungalow for 3 nights and 1 night at Water Villa and the experience was amazing. We had a great time. The restaurant serves amazing variety of food and tastes awesome. Being Vegans we were delighted with variety of food available to us during breakfast and dinner. For Honeymoon couples, I think this is the perfect place. In my opinion staying beyond 5 nights may get boring as there is nothing much except water sports and walking on the island which you can cover in 2 days. Besides the main restaurant, there is an Italian Bar where twice a week they have live band, a once a week traditional dance show, there is a Japanese Restaurant and a Coffee Shop on the Resort. Perfect place to relax. Suggestion Dec to Feb is the peak season and most expensive period. If I were to travel again, I would travel during October to Nov period as the rates are cheaper compared to Dec to Feb period.

Room Tip: Lot of Superior Bungalows view to the sea is blocked by plants and trees. So ask for Bungalows near the Pool or at back side of the resort which has view to the sea.

I went for my honeymoon to paradise resort. We stayed for 7 days with 3 days in beach bunglow and 3 days in water villa... We got a experience of both the rooms and i must say that it was great ..

the water villa is amazing with great room and view.. One would have a personal front porch which opens in the sea. For travellers on a budget, one can go for beach bunglow..

Food wise the place was okay.. We got indian food in the buffet in all meals .. For people who want to try other options there is a sea food restaurants, italian restaurnt, coffee shop etc.

I would recommend taking the option of buffet breakfast and dinner.. That ways u could try the other places during lunch.. if you are consious of the prices then just blindly go for the all board option since each meal in outside restaurants would be 25-30 USD per person..

Overall, value for money and quite affordable in comparison to other places in Maldives..
