Monica spotted weary travellers when we walked in the door and had tea ready for us within minutes of arriving. Three of us shared a family room and it was very comfortable. Listowel is a charming place! I loved it there. We only stayed one night, but I would happily go back.

The North County House is located in the center of town, so walking to pubs and restaurants from there is easy. Listowel is a proper and prosperous community. There are banks, pubs, restaurants, clothing stores, pastry shops and even a little famers' market at times in the town square.

Room Tip: Listowel is not noisy, so any room will work. There are stairs, however.

Located on the main street Listowel this b and b provides fantastic hospitality and a truly tasty breakfast. The rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable with hot powerful showers. For a bite to eat in the town visit the Horseshoe bar for great food and drink.

We were very fortunate to chance upon this delightful and charming B&B. It is spotlessly clean, particularly the fabulous ensuite. The staff, Leah, and owner Monica are extremely welcoming and helpful. The room and downstairs lounge are very comfortable. It was very easy to park right outside and the wifi worked well. Great value accommodation!

Hospitality unsurpassed, lovely rooms, clean comfortable, like coming home! Family run B & B newly renovated to the highest standards. The breakfast is wonderful, can't say enough about this comfortable B &B. In town, close to all restaurants and a short drive to ballybunion beach and golf course. Have been coming the North County House for 12 years. Definitely come and enjoy lovely Listowel, you won't be disappointed!!!

Room Tip: Not a bad room in the B & B

Normally when we go to Listowel we stay with my family who live in and around the area.

This time I was over there for my birthday and my sister recommended this place. This place is right in the town centre and is ideal for surrounding attractions as well as the local bars and restaurants.

We were greeted by the owners daughter who asked whether we would like a tea or coffee or anything which we politely declined. The place is very welcoming and I reckon there are about 6 rooms available.

We were given a room which you go up one flight of stairs to. The double room was spacious and comfortable . The double bed was large and comfortable . The bathroom had a large shower, with a small hand basin . There were lots of towels . The television had the Irish equivalent of freeview in the U.K. and was more than adequate.

After being to the party we returned back to the b & b at about 1230, taking in a few chips at a chip shop next door.... very handy on a Saturday night .

Breakfast was served between 8 and 10 am and we headed down about 930.

The area for breakfast is reasonably sized . When we went through the door a lady appeared and welcomed us to breakfast and said she would give us time to have a look. The menu had lots of choice with cereals porridge and honey. We noticed some people having cereals and them the large Irish breakfast. We both went for the Irish breakfast with tea and coffee as well as toast and soda bread. The staff were so friendly , keeping a distant eye if we were low on tea or toast to ask if we wanted replenishing. Not over bearing like you get in some places but very professional for a B and B.

After we could eat no more we gave in and returned to the room after thanking the staff.

Checking out was at 1130 which we decided to leave to the last minute but the staff still had a cheery face and said they hoped we had enjoyed our stay . We then headed off to family for the continuation of the party .

This place is so friendly and welcoming . Anyone looking for somewhere comfortable to stay overnight in the north Kerry area then this is the one for you.
