My Husband and I have recently returned from this hotel on the Pigsback deal as visiting family in the area,, This deal is great value for money and would recommend this hotel.
The hotel is lovely and staff were very accommodating and could not do enough for us the breakfast and evening meal choice was very good and food was excellent, The evening waitress Una was so friendly and helpful and a credit to the hotel.. We would definitely go back to this hotel..

Stayed here with my partner for one night. It was good value for the keen price I paid. Room was big and bathroom clean. However the linen was awful, rust marks on the towels, dark stains on sheets and pillow cases. Gave us a bad feeling.
Staff were excellent, from reception to the bar they couldnt be more helpful or friendly.

Car parking is free but a bit of a walk outside up a hilly lane to the car park - not ideal with bags on a wet day.

We have stayed here numerous times and were always very happy with our stay but this time the room we were given was a big letdown, it was like walking into a cave, the lighting was poor. The bathroom in this room would be better described as a closet and you needed to be a contortionist to have a shower. We did complain the following morning and were moved to a beautiful room. As usual the staff were very friendly and professional and breakfast was excellent.

The Hibernian Hotel and Leisure Centre is located right on the Main Street in Mallow, Co. Cork Ireland. The outside if the hotel is styled in a Tudor manner and has a certain quaintness to its appearance. The Reception area is just inside the front door and we were warmly welcomed by the Reception Manager on our arrival. As a party of 6, we wanted our rooms to be near to each other - not a problem, and we were all located closeby on the 2nd floor which you reach by a lift from the foyer.

The hotel has a Leisure Centre, but unfortunately we did not have time to use this facility.

Our rooms were clean and comfortable, but a little dated and just started to show signs that a little TLC would be soon required. All the usual hotel room amenities were present.

Guests staying at the Hotel can use the Council Car Park just behind the hotel, which is approximately a minute's walk to the hotel. You collect a 'Parking Free' ticket from Reception which you display in your vehicle.

We ate in the the Bar area on our first night and were very pleased with the quality of food that we had ordered, probably best described on par with the food that you would expect in an up market country pub or bistro restaurant. The staff were delightful and the 'banter' and friendliness really made our evening. The bar area is surrounded by TVs in each corner, either showing football, rugby or shinty. The TV sound isn't intrusive and oddly really adds to the atmosphere in the bar, so don't be put off by this!

On the other evenings we decided to try the other restaurants associated with the hotel - all within a very short walk from the front door! The Italian restaurant served us with some excellent food and again the staff are helpful and friendly. On last night we tried the Khao Asian Restaurant (1 minute's walk away) where again we enjoyed a delightful meal and a very pleasant evening.

To me the defining question is always this - would you go back and stay there again? We all agreed that it's a 'Definite Yes'. A big thank-you to All of the staff when went a long way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay.

Spent one night in The Hibernian Hotel. The Reception area is very dark and doesn't give a good first impression. The tiles look dirty but think it's the design of them. Our check-in was first class and our room was ready even though we were early. Paintwork on the way to Bedrooms needs touching up. The bedroom 19 was spacious and very tastefully decorated. The shower is fantastic. We had drinks in bar which is modern. The service was very good by two efficient bar men. Breakfast & service was good. We look forward to another visit.
