We decided to visit with relatives staying for the weekend. I’d been here before but was pleasantly surprised at the professional presentation of the Distillery. A lovely restaurant awaits and a terrific tour with some sampling at the end. We had a very good guide who was witty and informative. All in all it was a really nice visit and would recommend it whole heartedly.

Ample parking at the Distillery which is at the end of the main street in the town. You can purchase tickets at reception and we had a 30 minute wait for a tour to start. You can use that time to view the comprehensive display of the Distillery drinks produced and some lovely historical collection of photos etc.. You must follow a guide and the tour takes about an hour - guide was very good and also entertaining - tour ends with a complimentary drink and you can also volunteer to join a taste panel comparing American - Scotch and Irish whiskies was was fun - nice little restaurant if you want something to eat,
Thought you would be able to purchase products here a bit cheaper than an off licence or supermarket but this was not so - you can buy a good deal of Jameson logo bits and pieces

This place is one beautiful site to see! The guide we had was very knowledgeable unfortunately I cannot remember his name. He made a few jokes and made the tour that much better! Afterwards I had the opportunity to try some very nice premium whisky. I believe Adam was the man that did the private tasting. Also very knowledgeable and such a kind person with a great sense of humor. I would definitely recommend that if you come here for the tour you MUST do the whiskey tasting. It is well worth it!!

I'm not a whiskey drinker myself but went with 2 who are. I found the tour fascinating. The process and history of it was brilliant. Our guide was dull of information and personable. She done really well and managed to answer some tough questions from a few members of our group.

The cost was 20 euro for the standard tour which is ok as you get a drink at the end.

It lasted just over an hour and there was a gift shop and restaurant on site. The prices of the gifts where a bit on the plus side but then again it's a tourist area and a lot of the American and Canadian customers didn't seem to mind buying things.

Overall a good experience to do if your in the area. The 2 I was with really enjoyed it but like i said they are I to their whiskeys.

We visited the Old Jameson Distillery and took a conducted tour and Whiskey tasting. The tour guide was very informative and well able to be understood. He pointed out the way things were done in the old days and how there are some things that remain the same to keep the distinctive taste & quality. We learned the difference between Scotch & Irish Whiskeys as well.
We also looked at the Jameson mini distillery which is used for close research and developing and improving their product.
The Whiskey Tasting at the end of the tour was well explained.
I enjoyed a generous serving of pie in the cafeteria at the end of the tour and the gift shop had plenty of souvenir material available as well as some extremely rare and very expensive Whiskeys.
Well worth a visit.
