Our son's wedding reception was held at the Dunmore House. We were guests for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. Carol, the owner, and her staff were incredibly flexible & hospitable - timing for serving the wedding dinner, finding rooms for last minute guests, getting up early to get us breakfast before a morning flight and flying our country's flag as a welcoming gesture for the out-of-towners. Our room was very large and had an incredible view of the ocean. We enjoyed the bar and the relaxing space in the big lobby. I can whole-heartedly recommend the Dunmore House.

If you are looking for a stunning coastal view coupled with excellent quality accommodation then the Dunmore House Hotel is well worth considering.
We stayed here on our homeward journey from the South West corner of Ireland and it made for an excellent break before making for the ferry back to UK, the next day.
The accommodation throughout is of the highest quality. Our bedroom was large, tastfully appointed and the bed most comfortable.
Whilst this was the quieter part of the Holiday Season, the staff level was good; all were very helpful and obliging.
A good choice of dishes were offered for the evening meal and the breakfast menu was excellent. Both meals were cooked to a very high standard and were delicious.
Priced firmly it was a rate that, over all, we felt was appropriate for the quality..
Slightly remote from Clonakilty, the Hotel's position will take your breath away.
You will not be dissapointed.

We stayed at Dunmore House for a night for a family members wedding. We stayed in a family room, which was perfect for 4 of us. The MOST comfortable bed I've ever slept on! And the view was absolutely amazing, waking up with a view over the water. Wonderful breakfast as well, we'll be back!

Only negatives, a bit pricey, and a ways from town.

This is one of my favourite hotels in Ireland, it is not exceptional in any one area except perhaps in it's views from all rooms but overall the experience is nothing short of fantastic and you would have to be very picky not to rate this hotel full marks from staff to extremely comfortable beds to food to location to golf course to bar to function rooms etc etc. What's more this hotel pulls it off both in mid summer and deepest winter. I think you get the idea, I like this place and I think you will too.

We were very disappointed with our stay. Room 515 is small, old fashioned and way overpriced!
