From the moment we arrived we were met with friendliness and efficiency with regard to showing us to our lodge and all the workings within the lodge re Kitchen / TV / washer / dishwasher etc. We were also left a welcome package including brown bread , Clonakilty black and white pudding / tea and coffee , orange juice , and items to get us through the first day or so. We also had a great deck area to enjoy the sunshine. The position of the lodges was excellent and gave plenty of privacy. One small disadvantage was having to travel to Castletownbere if needed to eat in the evening during the week.

My husband and three daughters had a wonderful holiday here and the house was one of the best houses I have ever booked. We had fantastic weather but best experience was swimming down at the jetty.Lots to see and do and we felt very welcome by all the staff.Would definitely recommend this house and would love to return only for the 8hr journey from our home but will be back nonetheless.
Great houses..great food..cant beat the view..anyone who wants to visit this great part of the world wont do better than this resort....
We were delighted to find accommodation of such a high standard in Castletownbere. We stayed in lodge number 12 and were very happy with the level of cleanliness, comfort and space available. Decor is modern, bright and very attractive. We were welcomed by the accommodation supervisor Louise, who was friendly, efficient and professional. Nice touch was the gesture of some chocolates when we were checking out. She mentioned that they are working on getting Wifi for the individual lodges as it is available only in the main building at the moment. A small playground is great for younger kids. We were very pleased to have the opportunity to try out the restaurant for a meal for our extended family in the area(open Thurs-Sun) - very friendly staff particularly our waiter who was cheerful and looked like he actually enjoyed his job! Lots to do in the area including Seafari (booked with Sean Harrington) which was a great experience, kayaking in Adrigole (our kids loved seeing the seals up close) and the Ewe gallery near Glengarriff. We plan on staying in Berehaven lodges again at the earliest opportunity.
Stayed here in August 2014 as a family. We were allowed enter the accommodation earlier than originally said, which was great after an early start.
The cottages are beautiful inside, very white, clean and modern. They even changed around the beds for us so my 90 year old grandmother was able to stay downstairs.
Having 4 toilets in the house was great, but perhaps a shower over the bath would be useful to avoid guests having to go into the bedrooms to use the en-suite if it isn't their room.
Lots of features included such as dishwasher, washing machine and a TV. However it would be handy to extend the wifi from the main building to the houses.
Located close to town where there are lots of nice pubs and restaurants (5-10 min drive), also lots to do nearby and lovely places to visit.
Would recommend Berehaven Lodges to a family looking for a nice base whilst exploring the area.
