Picturesque spot well kept. Lovely coastal scenery accessible from the road strong footwear recommended after rain as can be slippery on the rocks and muddy underfoot

We visit regularly to take in the historic nature of this area. It stretches back several millenniums and gets us thinking about our heritage. A must visit for young people.

This is a nice stop off but it is all about hr views of the bay- this is a beautiful and quiet spot for picnic and to overlook the tidal bay beside the C of I church.

The Altar Wedge Tomb dates back to around 3,000 B.C.It was used for rituals through the Stone Age,Bronze Age and Iron Age through to the Penal times in our History. It is a Spiritual and Sacred Place in a well chosen location. There is a car park adjacent for parking. It is advisable for children to be accompanied by adults as the site is exposed to the rocky coast and sea in an elevated position.
A well preserved reminder of our Culture and our Past.

Lovely spot, both the sea views and the tomb itself. Plus, there's parking! I very much enjoyed visiting this spot.
