We needed some good coffee while driving from Dublin to the west and google maps led us here. Coffee, tea, scone and bread and butter pudding made with a scone were all great. The women working were extremely warm and friendly. I’d highly recommend!

Was very optimistic when I seen the veggie breakfast on the menu , I swapped the eggs for avocado ( which turned out to be guacamole) The ‘ sweet potato pudding’ tasted like frozen onion bajis and the vegetarian sausages were tasteless and dry . Also the mushrooms were deep fried which wasn’t stated on the menu . Avoid !

This cafe and restaurant is a great place to go as a familly. It has a lovely view of the Shannon and the west Bank of Athlone. On sunny days there are tables outside. You can stop in for coffee and cake or a full meal.
We just had a wonderful family brunch on New year's day. One vegetarian, a teenager, a toddler and me, the slightly picky meat eater. There are high chairs and toys for the little ones and lovely hot chocolate with marshmallows for the older child. There is a single menu for breakfast and lunch which means one person can get a vegie breakfast, another a chicken sandwich with skinny fries and the last can get pancakes with chocolate sauce and ice cream. My one lament is that they do not serve Eggs Benedict but given that they make their own bread it is understandable.
The coffee and food we're very good, I will give a special shout out for the guacamole which was lovely and fresh. Over all the food is wholesome, homemade, and not overly salted. The hospitality was warm and friendly but also professional and attentive.
We will keep going back here again and again.
