My husband, MIL, and I stayed in this house for a week in May. The house was great - spacious, huge kitchen, great conservatory, comfortable sleeping. It was less than a mile to town (though walking that was a bit iffy because the curves on the road aren't designed for pedestrians), the yard and views were stunning. We loved garinish island and golfing at the local club. The town (glengarriff) was a very friendly and quaint home base from which to explore SW Ireland. Norma was great and very available to us. We highly recommend this rental!
Such a beautiful spacious cottage set in well looked after gardens. The kids had a great time clambering over the rocks. Easy to get to everything around. Norma was very friendly and helpful and easy to deal with. We had a great stay and I would recommend it to friends.
My 2 sisters and elderly mother stayed here for a few days in April. What a lovely cottage. Extremely clean with everything you need in the kitchen. The cottage is very well set out and has a gorgeous garden all around it with lovely rock features. Norma was so helpful, she arranged a wheelchair from a local hospital for our mum which was an absolute godsend, we would have been limited to where we could go without it so big big thanks to Norma for arranging it. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage and Norma is such a lovely person and so welcoming.
What a beautiful cottage. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived, Norma the owner came to welcome us and explained how everything worked. We were impressed with all the little things that made our stay special. The cottage was in great condition and very homely, very clean....The location was great, weather permitting you could walk to the wonderful village of Glengarriff which has everything you need....Shops, pubs, hotels, church, live music, coffee shop and a taxi service. I would highly recommend this cottage. I'm hoping to come back in the near future.
I have stayed here four times. I even made sure that I revisited this cottage when I flew in from Australia. The cottage is beautifully maintained. The owners are house proud and maintain an excellent garden. I love it.
You can easily walk into town from the cottage. No more than a half an hour walk. You get to enjoy the glorious ocean views. If you do not have a car, you can still get into Bantry every Friday and during the week there is also a bus service to Kenmare and at times to Killarney in County Kerry.
The cottage is close to the Ring of Kerry which you can drive in one day. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and enjoy local village life. Car rentals are available locally if you only want to rent a car for part of your trip.
Norma and Peadar are just great. They are welcoming and are ready to assist you and answer your questions. They are a major draw to this cottage and I am sure I return again in the future.
