A cloudy, windy, uninviting Kilkee was put behind us by a splendid early evening meal at Murphy Blacks. Cillian was an attentive and friendly host. For mains (the only course we could handle after over a week's exposure to Irish breakfasts and Guinnness) we chose the panfried turbot and the monkfish scampi. Both were quite exceptional. On our next visit, we'll be less indulgent elsewhere so we can enjoy more at Murphy Blacks.
