This is probably the place you want to go if your aim is tasting roast baby lamb. The quality of the meat is outstanding, as well as the cooking.

The wine chart is broad and of good quality. Since you are in the heart of the area called Ribera del Duero, ask for one of these wines.

The service is good and thoughtful. You can enjoy the meal in a relaxed environment, with spacious tables overlooking the valley.

If you want a starter, try the fried black pudding. If you still have some room for the dessert, try the puff pastry cake.

It is worth to make a reservation ahead of time to this lovely restaurant, expertly run for the past 6 generations by the family. Two brothers and their wives assure the cooking and the serving. They specialise in the "Lechazo" (Lamb) and the Castilian "tapas", notably the "morcillas". The setting is attractive and comfortable, and our group of 9, including 5 young adults, enjoyed the tasty appetisers, the delicious bread baked in the wood ovens that are in the room (and where taking a photo with the Chef is a treat), and of course the delicious lamb.
We combined a morning tour of the Bodega Retuerta winery with a splendid late lunch "a la española" at the Nazareno.

We recently went to Spain for an anniversary get away and ended up in the region. This was the most memorable meal from our trip and we keep thinking about how delicious the lamb was. The restaurant atmosphere is unpretentious but the food is just amazing! If you are in the region, you simply must eat here. The lamb falls off the bone, into the most scrumptious natural juices. The white asparagus was also a yummy appetizer. But come for the lamb!
