Located just five minutes from Secondangny where all amenities are available, this gite is perfect for all who want a quiet location where you can just relax or pursue activities such as walking, cycling, and fishing or explore the many interesting towns and villages of the Deux Serve /Vendee.
Other attractions within easy reach are Coulon in Maris Poitevin, Puy du Fou ,Abbaye Royal and Parthenay.
The Gite is open plan and is fully equipped with all amenities, the owners Mr & Mrs. Febry live on site and are the most welcoming and helpful people.
Peaceful location five minutes from secondigny in a secluded hamlet the gite just oozes rustic charm. Very clean and tidy with all the fittings you'd expect
The owners Nigel and Tracy were very friendly and helpful. A perfect place for
cycling, walking or just chilling. Will certainly go again.
A couple of friends and I came over for a long weekend to visit a friend for a surprise 50th birthday that his wife was holding for him!
We all decided to stay here as a friend highly recommend the Gite from a pass stay and I don't think we could of chose better!
On arrival we where shown the Gite which was spotlessly clean and shown how all the amenities worked!
It was a bit of a overcast day we arrived so Nigel and Tracey (the owners) had prelite the fire and shown use where we could find more wood if needed (we didn't as we had beautiful weather the rest of our stay).
As it was a friend's surprise birthday, we didn't do much in the way of sight seeing, however, we where informed of all the local sights and placed of interest, resterants and local markets which where around to eat, drink and experience the rural relaxed French way of life.
Highly recommended and definitely coming back to The Gite on my own for a bit of an explore as there's a Medieval village that looks really interesting as well as a village that had been turned into a open air museum after it was obliterated by the Germans in the Second World War.
(N.B. I'm not too sure about the local transport (taxi's or buses), but you will need a car or bike to travel from A to B if you want to get out and explore!
