“Fantastic house and setting, everything there you might need!!”
Reviewed 3 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We had a fabulous stay at 7, St Mary's cottage. The house is tastefully decorated and really well equipped. It is in a beautiful setting surrounded by fabulous scenery with easy access to a variety of walks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay: the holiday and the house met all of our parties needs, which included children, teenagers and elderly people. We will defiantly go back: can't wait!!!

“A lovely well equipped cottage with spacious kitchen/dining area in a beautiful location.”
Reviewed 25 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We had a lovely couple of weeks in this beautiful cottage. We found it very clean, well equipped and in a stunning, peaceful location. The kitchen and dining room area is spacious, and the lounge comfortable. The bedrooms have plenty of storage space and comfortable bedding. The front garden is a pleasure to sit in and has a lockable bike shed.

It is well positioned for an easy 20 minute walk into Barmouth, where there are many good places to eat and shop. Also, right next to the Mawddach trail for bike rides to Dolgellau (bike hire from Barmouth). There are a few local shops about 5 minutes drive away in Fairbourne, which include a butcher, post office, general store and fish and chip/pizza shop. For those using public transport, the request stop railway station Morfa Mawddach is 5 minutes walk away down the road which the cottage is in. There are so many short local walks criss-crossing the nature reserve area and along the Mawddach trail and across to and up Fegla Fawr with amazing views of the estuary. Also upwards to waterfalls, quarry lakes, Cader Idris and walks above Barmouth. There are numerous places for days out by car - we would recommend Portmerion, Harlech, Talyllyn railway, Castell y Bere and Snowdon area. There is a locally resourced farm called Ynysgyffylog Barn Farm in the road of the cottage which has amazing free range pork and eggs!

The owners have very tastefully renovated and equipped the cottage, and spent time making sure that it has everything that is needed for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday at the cottage. They were very efficient, helpful and friendly throughout the whole process of booking, telling us how to find and get into the cottage, making sure everything was well upon arrival and returning the damage deposit when we returned home. We hope for another stay there as two weeks were not enough!

“A place to go back to”
Reviewed 7 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We love 7 St Marys. The house and location are just great for a family get together.

Wonderful, quiet location. Ideal for cycling, hiking and simply just pottering around.

Bliss.

“Fantastic house in a perfect location”
Reviewed 11 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The house is superbly equipped with everything needed for a wonderful holiday. It was spotlessly clean throughout and everything that we could possibly have needed was provided. The location of the house is perfect with a wonderful flat walk into Barmouth and many other wonderful walks starting directly from the house. We have stayed in many houses over the past 20 years and this is one of the best we have found .
