This hike takes most fit and properly-equipped (boots, flashlights, water, rain gear, etc.) hikers three hours to get up to Rif Papa and an additional two hours down the Scarubbi Road to return to the trailhead. Add an additional hour if one leaves from Passo Xomo instead of the upper (6e) parking lot. It is NOT for casual hikers or hikers who start after 12 noon! There are NO facilities along the way (except at the top) and NO ways back other than turning around. That said, this hike has amazing views and tells an amazing story.
