Amazing dishes of cheese and desert. My kids loved the fondue made just for one person. I enjoyed a plate of various cheeses which were all sooooo tasty! So I bought some goat cheese to go, for home. Friendly staff. Only, they close very early, it is difficult to have an early dinner (close at 19:00) after a whole day ski.

What a disappointment. In the past, we really looked forward to a lunch-time stop at this
restaurant, a converted farm, alongside the pistes, in the most favoured location facing the staggering Dents du Midi mountain range, serving typical Swiss mountain dishes that lived up to its high reputation. All this is still for the taking, but now marred by poor, disorganised management and untrained staff who only respond to those who shout the loudest. After forty minutes of being ignored by the waitress serving an almost empty "rösti room" and by la patronne who studiously avoided eye contact, we left vowing never to risk repeating this unforgivable experience.

we booked a table for 1 pm for 9 persons outside. It was a busy day and they were totally understaffed. They should have put less tables out on the terrace as they just could not cope. 7 out of 9 plates of food arrived over one hour after our arrival, and the 2 boys had to wait a further 15 minutes for their rösti. The food when it arrived was fine and the waitress Camille was friendly and willing and apologetic, but when we complained to Suzanne the patroness, she didn't have the grace to apologise. We will not be back.

After two years of poor food and disinterested service, this year Gaby is back and on form. Nice service and delicious food once more. Well done Suzi! We had salad Dent du Midi and it was delicious: generous salad and a nicely cooked piece of warm chicken on top, beautifully seasoned. Our only issue was that one of our party had a rosti and this arrived after 5 minutes but the other 3 plates of salad (!) took a further 10 minutes to arrive. However, the place was packed and it was nice to see this atmospheric restaurant doing well once more.

I love to go to Chez Gaby especially for dinner. Really good food, typical Swiss design and Swiss food. The service is ok.
