A lovely room in a lovey location but best of all the lovey Lisa who made us very welcome and made best breakfasts ever. A true Domestic Goddess! From this location we were easily able to visit Padstow, the Eden Project and St Ives. It isn't too far from newquay airport.Thank you.

I have stayed at Salem House for 20+ nights over the last few months on business in Truro. This has been an excellent bolt hole at the end of the day, rural tranquillity and yet not far from the village, Truro and the rest of west / central Cornwall.

The room was comfortable and pleasantly presented and the room pricing is competitive.

Lisa is a great host, who prepares a first rate breakfast.

I could not get a mobile phone line in the room, but the free wi-fi worked well, plus a good Sky package and so I did not find this an inconvenience.

I would heartily recommend this B&B.

We arrived fairly late in the evening due to bad weather on route and had plans to pop out for an hour after unpacking. We found the place so welcoming that we decided to stay in instead with a cup of tea and Sky TV. The room and en-suite has been decorated to a high standard and everything worked perfectly, including the free wi-fi.

Lisa is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable. Breakfast was superb, in the very grand breakfast room.

This is our first B&B stay near Truro, as we normally stop with friends there - but we will definitely be booking again when we are over that way, as it made our break that much more special.

Highly Recommended!

PERFECT HOST AND ROOM! We stayed with Lisa at Salem House B & B for 2 nights. What a find! Lisa is just lovely in every way, so friendly and warm. The room was perfect, and would not be out of place in a boutique hotel at three times the price. Amazing comfy bed. Large flatscreen TV with sky, wi-fi, walk in shower, lots of high quality teas and coffee. Outside is a table and chairs set overlooking the hedges and lawn, a nice little sun trap and a lovely place to sit in the early morning sun. We were made to feel so welcome, and had complete freedom to come and go as we pleased. St Agnes bay is only about 4 miles away and a must for a visit. We requested a vegetarian breakfast, and Lisa really put herself out to provide us with a delicious cooked breakfast in the gorgeous surroundings of the breakfast room. We enjoyed chatting with her after breakfast, covering a whole range of subjects as one would with a friend. The location is easy to find, a few miles out of Truro, up on a hillside. As a previous reviewer has said, Lisa is a natural host and we wholeheartedly recommend Salem House for a quality break to absolutely everyone as we think Lisa has made it a perfect experience!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for just a couple of days, and wished it could have been more! Lisa (the host) is an absolute legend. Friendly, knowledgable, polite - and the breakfast! Let me tell you its the worth the stay just for that experience alone.

If your looking for a place to stay in the heart of the West Country thats quiet, happy, and close to everything you want to be, look no further!
