What has happened to the Sunday roast.....!!!!! Used to be tasty hot and well cooked. Today it was part warm part cold, beef sliced so thick it was hard to cut and quite chewy, roast potatoes warm and undercooked, hot cabbage in cream rest of the veg were at best luke warm. Still my dog enjoyed the meat I took home, her teeth are better than mine lol. Two of us had honeycomb sundaes which were disappointing and served in a drinking glass/beer glass. Now we now why there were so few diners and we able to book a table yesterday for Easter Sunday. Used to be packed for Sunday lunch, we won't be returning.

We went to the Three Crutches for a birthday meal and were disappointed considering we’d been there before and it was good. Roast dinner cold and chicken very dry had to saw through it because it was so tough. No hot water and soap in the ladies, I told staff and they weren’t bothered, they just said it’s getting re done. Hot water should be a necessity after going to the toilet because it makes me feel sick that germs could be lying around in a restaurant if people are unable to wash their hands properly - Breeding ground for bacteria! Won’t be going again anytime soon.

We had a Boxing Day lunch here and we were worried based on the poor reviews. There were 4 kids and 8 adults and we had pre selected our 3 course meals. The food and service were both really good. We eat out at lots of different restaurants and all agreed the food was promptly served, tasty, hot and plentiful. The waitress was relaxed, friendly and helpful at all times. We appeared to be the only large table there, although it was getting busier towards the end. Maybe they had a different chef in as it was Christmas? Maybe they pulled out all the stops because of the all important festive season? Who knows.

The food was so much nicer than you will find in any chain restaurant like Brewers Fayre, Beefeater, Harvester etc and was just like really great home cooked individual pub food. Yes the pub could do with a spruce up but we went there to have a fun meal with family and we really couldn’t fault it. Cold drinks and good company were an added bonus too! We will certainly give it another try! Thank you for a truly lovely Boxing Day meal!

Accessed from the car park the odour from the lavatories was somewhat prominent. The interior restaurant looked well maintained and was comfortable though the service was very slow and the meal disappointing. Cold vegetables on unheated plates and mashed potato which reminded me strongly of the dreadful 'Pom' of my post war school dinners. Very poor value for money.
