Very small campground on the river with nice sunsets, and very close to historic Sherbrooke Village.

Stayed only 1 night and that was enough. Campground needs upgrade and better upkeep.

Dog poop from the owners/staff in a lot of places (they cleaned it up fast when we asked, but we should not have had to ask + the dogs are nice but are always roaming and always doing new do-doos). Office reeked of cigarette smoke.

This just seems to be treated more like a hobby than a business by the owners. Site served its purpose to sleep 1 night close to a venue we wanted to visit, but would not make a point to go back (Sorry!) unless owners renovate and make a serious turnaround as this site as some good potential.

I find it hard to recommend this campground because it is not well kept. With that said, the location on the river is beautiful. Sherbrooke is within walking distance. Laundry need serious cleaning, but the Wi Fi was great. We stayed only 1 night because the historic village closed early this year. OK place for a 1 night for us.

We needed a campsite for one night and stayed three nights. Most of the sites are just by the St. Mary's River. So you see the tide coming in and go out. If you re looking for a quite Campground in Nature and close to the Sherbrooke Village (walking distance), you can't get a better one. The owner are people you can talk to and are very friendly. We had a wonderful time and would come again.

Room tip: Ask for a river front site

VERY small campground. Its little more than a turn-around by the road with a few campsites on it. That being said, the pool was nice (actually quite clean, not at all like other photos seen here), as were the washrooms, however the playground for the kids was unusable as it was far too run down. Staff never seemed to be around much at all. Sites were not too bad but nothing special. All in all, not a place I would make a point of going back to, but it served its purpose for us while visiting to go to Sherbrook village. ( within walking distance to the village).

There is certainly a lot of room for improvement at this Campground and hopefully the new owners are able to take all the comments posted and make an effort to turn things around. The location is lovely and the view is really nice. The sites are small but ok for a one or two night stop. From there, it did go downhill during our stay (September 9-10).

1. As mentioned in an earlier post, the washrooms offer very little privacy and the water from the shower seems to run out and soak into the rug. There was a full paper supply of high grade toilet tissue and a full roll of paper towels so perhaps that has been addressed.
2. There is an attempt to recycle but the pails were all full and overflowing while we were there.
3. We found dog droppings on our site that needed to be picked up. (There are dog waste bags available near the entrance).
4. The site we had was very wet/damp (#23). There was a horrid odour of mold/mildew and as it rained during our first night, the smell became worse. Definitely a drainage issue.
5. The "cash only" policy and no paper trail leaves a little to be desired. Paying for two nights in advance with no proof makes one wonder but it turned out ok.
6. Our fire pit was full of cigarette butts and other refuse. Not very encouraging to have a fire.
7. To our surprise, the water was brown. This may be due to a high iron content, but we resorted to using our own bottled water.
8. As noted in other posts, the pool was green and not useable.
9. There is a lot of clutter around the pool/office/house area. Certainly not attractive.

Please accept this as constructive criticism. Many of these items can be readily fixed and reviews can be improved. The location to the Sherbrooke Village is perfect and just steps away from a fabulous nature walking trail by the Stamp Mill.
