Had a very pleasant evening meal in a typical old world country pub it gets very busy early on in the evenings and the Sunday carvery is usually a complete sell out with coach trips stopping off there We had a lovely full mixed salad with beautiful creamy coleslaw with a large crispy fresh piece of cod the other meal was a well sized gammon and egg with a separate large bowl of chips They do a regular specials board and a child's menu There is a small bar area with a large lock fire which is beautiful in the colder months Staff very friendly and helpful There are outside tables and chairs also a beer garden for children with a slide and play area

Good food Sunday car vary and other menus
just mist Sunday lunch but had a burger lovely taste
Only down fall slow service a guy behind the bar appear to serve then disappear two waitress sitting in corner
Leaving young lady to run the bar and take orders.

A very busy place tables to the front and tables to the side lovely sunny day.
Inside a well lay out of tables and your dogs was a loud to come with you well worth a visit if passing through spent most of the day .
Caution the main Bridge over the river is single file traffic and can get very busy any older folk or disabled be care full as no crossing also down hill is a 20 mph as a police officer reminded me as only doing 15 mph as following a caravan a pleasant day out in all

Thank Richard S

Got to be honest this is probably the worst food I have eaten in a very long time. Curry was so runny you couldn't eat it with a knife and fork!!!!!!. Lots of complaints on the campsite about this place. Very disappointed.

I ate here last Thursday lunchtime as part of a group on a daytrip that I organised . We pre-ordered with 5 different meals and 22 people. All meals were excellent, hot and plentiful. We were able to chose our desserts on the day . So many to chose from and many of them were homemade too. All service was overseen by Lianne.? A lot of our group have limited mobility and we found staff most helpful. We look forward to a return visit.
