This is a place to stay for several nights or weekends as it is special. The views over Piedmont are splendid. We only had one night on our recent trip but what a splendid place. Our large, comfortable, and modern room had a "garden view"" looking up at the swimming pool. It included a desk, two chairs (one used for luggage), a luggage rack, large wardrobe with many real hangers, AC, good lighting, and adequate wifi. The large bathroom had a wonderful shower, slippers, soaps, tissues, shaving items, toothbrushes, and other amenities. There were 2 sets of cotton towels. The breakfast area in this upper building had a fridge with water, sodas, and a coffee machine for our use. We did not use the pool. Getting to the Relais required negotiating a windy road up the hill from Acqui Terme which we would not want to do in the dark. We had a very restful sleep.
Dining on the terrace was delightful. Following the amuse bouche of chickpeas, we each had a pasta (I had the ravioli), followed by duck for my husband and a large plate of cheese for me. The breads and breadsticks were delicious. We did not need dessert. Our host recommended a local wine.
In the morning, we had breakfast in the breakfast area, fixing ourselves coffee, prosciutto, cheese, and fruit before departing.
Advice: Pay for dinner and the room the night before you leave. No...This is a place to stay for several nights or weekends as it is special. The views over Piedmont are splendid. We would definitely stay here again and for more than one night when visiting the Piedmont! A jewel.More
