“A wonderful cottage”
Reviewed 30 March 2016 for a stay in April 2015

Like a home away from home! This cottage is stunning and has been finished to an incredibly high standard. its so cosy and the location is great as you are in a small hamlet with a couple of pubs close by. It doesnt take too long to get to Bakewell and Chatsworth from here and you are secluded enough to get away from it all.

“Beautiful cottage..💖”
Reviewed 28 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This is a beautiful cottage to stay at. It's has everything you could need, and more. It's warm and cozy with the log burner and very comfy beds to sleep in. Situated in Birchover with lovely walks to go on. Great food at the Druid Inn. If your looking for a chilled break this is the place to stay. Great communication with the owners and they have turned the cottage into a place you can call home while your there. Will definitely be returning. THANK YOU.

“Gorgeous Hideaway”
Reviewed 4 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

An absolutely gorgeous little cottage hidden in Birchover (close to The Nine Ladies and fabulous walks and trail runs) We had 5 nights here and loved the cottage

It has everything you could possible need and more. The wifi was great for working from home too. The fact that you can't get get mobile reception didn't bother us too much!

We did venture to The Red Lion pub which is a stones throw from the cottage itself for a couple of Guinness's and local brew!!! Cute country pub (well worth a visit)

The wood burner is an absolute treat!!! I was working in front of it with my glass of stout!!!

Thanks Robert for meeting us and making our stay truly wonderful!!! Highly recommended, we loved it and will certainly return again.

“Cobblers Cottage - Peaceful mid winter break in the Dales”
Reviewed 3 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

What a gorgeous cottage to stay in. Full of old world charm (it originally started off as a chip shop about 100 years ago). Cobblers cottage is great for putting your feet up and getting away from it all. Whether you want to relax by a cosy fire and dream the afternoons away or head out into the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, you can't go wrong with this cottage. The owners have put a lot of thoughtful details into the cottage, really thinking over what you could want in the kitchen and the rooms are well laid out and the radiators are each easy to programme on their own making it cosy and warm. The owners rang us up on the first night to check we had everything which was a thoughtful touch. One thing, this is the Dales - don't expect brilliant mobile reception - but what could be better than getting away from it all. There is, however, an emergency land line in the cottage, just in case!! There is wifi access for all you techies however. The locals in the Red Lion were great too, very welcoming.

Liked best: Cosy Cottage and friendly locals
Liked least: Bit of a hair raising journey coming home from Matlock one night, talk about abrupt drops and single lane tracks but that was the sat navs fault.

“Exactly what we wanted.”

Cobblers Cottage has exactly what you need for a short break in the hills.

We travelled with an 18 month old child child and everything we needed was provided. I can't think of anything you might need that wasn't to hand.

The cottage is attractive and in an area we love. There arew also two good pubs a short walk away where decent food is available. As a keen cyclist I'll be returning this summer if I get the chance and would recommend it to anyone who like the outdoors or simply wants a pleasant place to relax. Perfect for a family too. What more could you ask for?
